He will be learning a new offensive system, will have new weapons, plus one familiar target with Gronk. TB was a decent team last year, but their former QB had tons of turnovers, so I think it will be a productive run. I don't' think he wins a championship again, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did. In fact, got a bet in on it at high odds (what they were before he signed so I hope he does win).

As a note, Brady signed a 2-year contract with the Bucs.

I think they will be a 10+ win team and and make the playoffs as a wildcard. They should be reasonably successful. Tom Brady is very physically limited at this point in his career, just watching the Pats last year showed there are clearly throws he just can’t make anymore. He’s got some nice talents to throw to, and Arians is a good coach. We’ll see

I don’t see him having a late career Favre style ending with a new team. It’s going to be a spectacular and delicious failure.

I think Gronk is also pretty much done and won’t be the same player either.

Tampas division sucks besides NO , so they will probably make the playoffs but It all depends on TB defense.
Offensively they’ll be fine it’s the defense I have questions about.

Why no option for not making the playoffs?

That’s my pick.

They went 7-9 with Winston turning the ball over nearly 40 times. They have a young, stud defense that kept them in a lot of games. With the additions of Brady and Gronkowski plus Wirfs on the OL I don’t see how they could miss the playoffs in the always open NFC South?

I think their Defense is surprisingly good. Shaq Barrett was a beast last year and as noted by someone else, Jameis regularly put them in awful spots with his turnovers. I expect them to contend. Would love them to win a championship due to the bet I referenced, but don’t think it will happen.

Sadly I’m a lifelong Redskins fan so I usually have to find someone I can root for in the playoffs. This year I’d like to see Brady win another one.

I think it’ll finally confirm that Belicheck’s system and coaching were the real reason for the Patriots dynasty.

That amazing system he ran in Cleveland when he went 36-44 and had one winning season? The Pats did have one losing season during Belichicks tenure. Care to guess who wasn’t the starting QB when that happened? Tom Brady on the other hand has never had a losing record in his entire career. Never once under .500.

I will admit I haven’t watched too many TB games the last year or two , sure they ended strong but I still have my reservations , they need to be a above average , not just good like like top 10 D.
To make it to the SB you need a good offense and top defense.

I think they get to the playoffs for sure. How far depends on how healthy everyone stays. As long as they can keep Brady protected he will find someone who is open.

Yeah, I’m sure he used the same exact system he ran in Cleveland and didn’t learn anything under Parcells.
Brady was out for the year and his team won 11 games. Peyton Manning was out for the year and his team went 2-14. Just saying. Brady was suspended for four games and Jimmy G filled in just fine.

He's looking Payton'esque at the end of his career where he can't connect further than 15 yards out. Gronk looks like a vegan after he retired and started a CBD company. I dont see them adding a ton of value

Not even Billy B can escape the vortex of terribleness that is Cleveland

The offensive lines in New England (coaching and players) gave him the opportunity to be great. Will he have the same caliber of line coaches/players in Tampa? I don't know.

So he wouldn’t have learned those things during his five-year tenure as Parcells DC prior to taking the Cleveland job?

They have 2 years max, and I say there is a 50-50 chance Brady goes into the same mode Peyton was in 2015 the 2nd year.

Brady obviously declined last year, but he was also throwing to maybe the worst group anyone had in the league. Now he has one of the best. The team is talented, but it's a tough division. I think they will be successful.

That's another facet. He won't have Miami and New York (and previously, Buffalo) twice a year.

I think the marriage of Brady and Arians, along with their abundance of offensive weapons - more than he could even dream about last year in NE - has a lot of potential. However, Brady's not getting any younger, and so much can go wrong for *any* NFL team.

But if he stays healthy, I think they'll be really good. I'm a Panthers' fan, so I hope his leg falls off. :p (JK)

Brady is setup for success in Tampa. Tons of weapons on the offensive side of the ball and a great defense. Tampa will be a force to be reckoned with next year - I think his run will mirror Joe Montana’s run with KC.

I am tired of the speculation. Give me the season so we can see. The only reason I have hope is because there are years when the Patriots had really trash defense and Tom still pulled through. The bucs secondary has been historically bad since Raheem Morris. Almost every year just giving away record yardage in some fashion. Having JPP and Suh on the frontline of the D is nice but we hurt when the ball goes soaring.

- Their division sucks
- Brady is an upgrade from Winston
- Brady & Gronk have tons of chemistry
- Bucs were already half decent last year without the upgrades, especially the defense

As a life long Bills fan it is my duty to hope for Toms complete failure.

So you're really telling me that he's running the exact, EXACT same system in NE that he ran in CLE? That nothing changed other than Tom Brady being the QB? Even though he's had proven success with other QBs in NE?

Honestly I can't see them doing any worse than say, 7-9 even if Brady is finally taken down a sizeable peg by father time. He still managed to pass for over 4,000 yards and 24 TD's with a pretty mediocre receiving corps. Sure hes about as mobile with a rock attached to a roller skate missing 3 wheels, and his arm strength is a big question mark, but he can lead them to the playoff. The problem is, the Saints and the 49ers are going to stomp any hopes of a 7th ring. Saints and 49ers are the top two teams in the NFC, if both QB's can match or exceed their outputs last year.

What proven success has he had outside of Brady? The year they went 11-5 with Cassel they didn’t make the playoffs. The other situations are so limited that you can barely count them. The difference is all of Belichicks greatest achievements as a headcoach have happened with Brady under center. The one year he had Bledsoe as his QB they went 5-11. And it’s not like he took over a terrible team because the 4 years prior to him becoming coach they only missed the playoffs once.

Saints love to choke though so may not even have to face them

With Brady in the SB it goes to show NE's success is all him.

Without him, NE can't even make the playoffs with a good QB in Wilson. The team's defence seemed worse too though. NE scored 100 pts less than 2019.
