After all, if the Sephiroth seen in part 1 really is a time/dimension traveling version of him/jenova, it would be interesting see him interact with the events of those games too (in particular his pre-evil self and comrades from crisis core).

Hell , having him team up with/go up against his old friend genesis (thereby continuing Dirge Of Cerberus sequel hook or whatever it was supposed to be) would also be interesting too see.

Highly doubt it. Crisis Core was the only competent part of the compilation IMO, everything else ran from bad to fan-service.

Time ghosts (fans of the original game) are trying to keep shit together, but who knows what the penultimate villain (god((Nomura))) is actually going to do.

If I see Gackt again other than as an in-game meme for "lol remember when we did this?" though, I'm going to spraypaint "Nomura sux" somewhere in Tokyo.
