Since the Switch 2 is selling so well, do you think there will be exclusive games for it from third parties?

When you find yourself thinking like this, ask yourself. Would you make more money selling your game only on the switch? Or on as many platforms as possible?

The answer is obvious. Yall have got to move past this 90s era exclusives mindset, it's not how the industry works anymore.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is on other platforms? Or Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate?

doesn't really make sense for any 3rd Party to make exclusives anymore unless it's tied to a hardware gimmick, of which they are basically none now.

switch 2 has basic waggle / separate joycon capability but no one really cares to make anything for that. portable mode makes stuff accessible on the go but no reason those games can't come out on ps5/pc too

VR is the new exclusive platform, and PC VR / Meta is pretty cross-compatible. Didn't they release drives for PSVR2 on PC too?

Year 2026, people still asking for exclusives to validate their platform of choice, why?

Why any third party would like to limit their sales expectations to one single platform in this day and age in which many gaming companies are struggling to make profit?
Why would any third party would limit their market share when porting a game is even easier than 10 years ago?
Why would Nintendo invest money in getting exclusives when they already know they don't need to since publishers want to release their titles in the best selling platforms?

Besides 1P and 2P exclusives forget about 3P exclusives, multiplatform releases are here to stay even from the big ones.
