Does anybody know of or has anybody read any books that revolve around the science of the healing process?

I’m talking about the cellular healing process by the way, like when you strain a hamstring or sprain an ankle, get concussion, break a bone in your body, etc.

I want to learn in depth about everything the body does to self heal and repair itself, all the changes that occur in the body from the moment the injury takes place to the time the process is complete. Are there any comprehensive books out there that you’ve read or know about?

Would greatly appreciate any help!

I don't know about any particular books on this subject, but fasting (I know I'm always a pumper for it) does wonders for bodily repair and health on many levels. Inducing autophagy through calorie restriction allows the body to clean out various kinds of damage because the resources and energy aren't being devoted to the endless cycle of digestion/assimilation.
