I was at a camp this weekend, and all of the kids were singing the theme song for some show that I had never heard of "It's my show....I'm Andy Milinokis". I must have heard that line 100 times this weekend.

I looked up "milinokis" on this forum when I got back, but there was nothing, and I checked out a few websites from Google. Then, I was going through Comcast On-Demand last night and I came across a five minute intro to the Andy Milinokis Show. As soon as I saw the kid singing his theme song, I was hooked. Then - they have this clip of him walking around the streets of New York City (?) walking up to random elderly people and saying things like "Thanks for the apple pie Mrs. Jennings! It was delicious!" and "Are you going to the carnival Mrs. Pruitt? I can't wait for the rides and the cotton candy!" - in this totally sincere/innocent childlike voice.

Then, they had this bizarre, but hilarious clip of him calling for chinese food, and then when the delivery guy gets there, he is sitting in a chair, with his arms chained behind his face, with peanut butter smeared all over his face. He then asks the delivery guy to smear more peanut butter on his chin and to take money out of his pocket. at which point he starts screaming at the delivery guy.

He is basically that kid we all knew who used to play pranks on unsuspecting adults - the kid who would orchestrate a realistic-looking bike crash right by a busy intersection so that people would stop and stare and think that kids had actually been hurt.

Does anyone here watch this show?

He had some internet clips and Jimmy Kimmel thought he was funny. Kimmel says that the network was tired of using him so he produced a show for Andy himself.

The first episode I saw was the one where the pizza guy makes the delivery and he goes to get money, and brings the pizza box back with a shoe in. I spent about half the show cracking up, and the other half sucked ass.

I've never made it through a whole episode. I've made like 4 attempts and I never thought it was funny. I liked his stunts on the Man Show, but I suspect those were written by Adam/Jimmy anyway.

MTV as a whole has just sucked lately. *edit* Moreso now than ever ** Its like they're trying soo hard to do as many reality shows about kids in their early 20s as possible. WTF is this Trailer Fabulous show anyway? I can't believe that's for fucking real! That host is such a flamer that I thought it was some kind of gag at first. Imagine my surprise when I found its an actual show. WTF.

And in closing, Andy Milinokis couldn't joke his way out of a nutsack.

I have seen that show 2x, and both times he was doing some stupid skit with everyday people, I guess he was trying to see how many times he could say "Know what I'm sayin" and I sat there, and just couldnt believe that MTV is paying this kid for this crap...

I think MTV should have left him on the net to rot...


EDIT: There are only 2 good shows on MTV right now. Pimp My Ride and Viva La Bam. I sorta like The 70's house, just because I like to see these vain little shits get embarrassed, but other than that, MTV is a joke.

The stuff he does accosting people on the street is frequently entertaining. Definitely loses some of the unique angle when you find out he's not a kid.

Wow - after 16 replies - this is pretty much a universal condemnation of the show.....

Like I said - I only saw a 5 minute trailer, which was actually really funny. But - I guess I can see how this type of humor would not be something that you could stand watching for half hour doses at a time.

The kids at the camp I went to were only 13 or 14, which may explain why the show has more appeal for them. I had never heard of the show before though until I heard them singing the theme song over and over again.

Oh well - another strike against popular culture I guess.....

The Andy Milonakis Show is the worst show on television. It's just garbage. Don't even compare it to MADtv. I hate MADtv, but it's still ten times better and more clever than The Andy Milonakis Show. Isn't pretending to be something you're not the basis of pretty much all comedy (even stand-up, to an extent)? I don't really understand hating on him for that.

The thrust of most of his bits really isn't "young child doing things that would be outrageous for a young child to do" as with The Man Show's smart-mouthed kid. Learning his age doesn't really do much to take away from the humor since he is working mostly absurdist gags and off-the-wall stuff.

EDIT: I am suggesting that pretty much anything is funnier than Reno-911....except Jiminy Glick.

You people have no taste for non-sequitor humor. That said, it doesn't ALWAYS work and the show IS hit-and-miss, but I mean, you've got to appreciate the absurdity of some of it. There are far and away worse shows out there with NO inspiration and NO creativity. But when you try to get creative, you either end up with something awesome or something shit. Hence why most television stations have a hard time coming up with new material.

I dunno, there's some really funny bits on that show. This is one of my favorites.

A pizza delivery guy comes up with a pizza, but when he enters the apartment he is assaulted by Andy, who's celebrating. Apparently, he's the 1000th delivery guy. Andy's all excited, and then this old lady walks in with a hat shooting off noisemakers. He ends by giving the delivery guy a prize for being the 1000th delivery guy. That prize turns out to be... a pizza.

It's definitely a hit-and-miss show, but when it hits it hits hard.

I've tried watching it on a few different occasions. Each time I've found it to be pretty dull. Maybe there are a few tiny gold nuggets to be found within the show, but it's not worth sifting through the rest of the heaping pile of shit to find them.

It's a shame Jimmy Kimmel is associated with it in any way.
