Does Batman make the DC Universe better?

I mean Batman himself, not his rogues gallery like Joker, Harley Quinn, Ras Al Ghul, etc....who I actually think make the DC Universe a lot more interesting than Batman himself.

All modern DCU/Justice League stories/movies seem to revolve around "how do we write the story so that Batman is the central focus and saves the day although he is the only one with no powers"?

Yeah, I get it, Batman is popular, but the way they try to shoehorn him into everything just makes a lot of these Justice League stories seem ridiculous. Like how Batman can figure out how to defeat Darkseid/Doomsday/the entire Justice League while infinitely more intelligent beings like Brainiac can't figure it out.

You would think that the bad guys would have figured it out by now. First thing they should do in any fight is to vaporize Batman.

Batman as a single character NOT part of the JL does make DC interesting. Batman as part of the JL is just weird. Iron Man works as billionaire genius in the MCU thanks to the suit and power levels it can give him. Batman doesn't work well that way in the films as its not the core of who he is. Stark was an inventor, Wayne is a detective, but in the films he's never shown as a genius detective, just a generic super hero with mad beatem up skills. Thats the problem. MCU got the core of Iron Man right in the films, DC fails to get the core of Batman right in the films.

But as a stand alone, Batman is better than all the rest in the DC, so it makes sense why he is shoehorned into things.

Modern Harley Quinn is a garbage Deadpool wannabe and hasn't been involved in a good story in decades. Back in the 90s and early 2000s she was great, but those days are long past.

This isn't really true, the current two big events, Dark Knights Metal and Death Knights, both of which involving evil Batman invading the DCU had Batman only in a supporting role. Wonder Woman is the main character of Death Knights. He hasn't been the singular focus of a Justice League role in the books in a long time. He was not the focus of Justice League War, Flashpoint, the Atlantis War, the ENTIRE War of Light series including Sinestro Corps War, or Blackest Night.

Hell, Batman gets disrespected a LOT in his own comics these days. Tom King has shown absolutely no respect for Batman in his run, with Catwoman saving Batman left and right(even KO'n two of the fucking flashes and Bane) with Batman get very few moments of his own badassery.

Batman has never defeated any of these Megalithic figures without support, in the actual canon. Batman BARELY survived his fight with Superman in Batman Hush, and he only had the bullet to fire at Darkseid in Final Crisis BECAUSE of Orion. The Hellbat suit he uses to invade Apokalips in the Rebirth of Robin series was built by the entire Justice League together to make it possible for Batman to even fight on that level, and he STILL needed the support of Cyborg and his friends to succeed in the end.

Also, Braniac has defeated Superman and the Justice League before. Hell the entire Justice League was killed during a story line in the old JLA comic.

Precisely because he's Batman and he's prepared for those eventualities, and he has the JL to watch his back. There have however been instances where villains targeted Batman before a fight with the JL even began just to take him out of the equation.
