Doesn't the Switch show graphics/power DON'T Matter?

So true. I remember having amazing times with Mario 2 & 3, Castlevania, Duck Tales, Zelda 1, Contra and many more NES games.

I remember the sense of awe for games like Zelda, a Link to the Past, Super Castlevania 4 and Donkey Kong Country. I'm not sure if it was 4th gen or the next with Mario 64, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy 7, or Ocarina of Time that that sense of amazement and wonder stayed constant.

Sure new games like Starfield look mind blowing (in terms of scope and concept, as well as visuals), but so did Metal Gear Solid 1 in its day.

Agreed. List needs moar Zelda II and Castlevania 3. But that's just nitpicking.

All the people who shit on graphic etc. are probably the same people who are enjoying the fuck out of the eikons battles in ff16 that are only possible on a "powerful" home console, imagine the same battles on a fucking tablet now...

Graphics and Power do Matter, however, the Switch shows that apparently they don't matter as much as other things do.
Eventually Nintendo will be forced to improve the Graphics too again however.

Enjoy your one AAA game per gen and a remaster of a 22 year old game.
Do you actually play or do you just look at your games library and rub your nipples to the amount of "AAA" titles you have?

Yes. Absolutely. After 120 hours spend on it, ToTK if a fucking masterpiece.

But it's incredibly hard to pull off a game in 2023 on a potato like the Switch that can outdo games on other more powerful consoles.

It wouldn't be if them graphicz weren't the first priority when getting down on the drawing board.

I just put in 145 hours into totk so you tell me.

No one here gives a shit about non AAA games. If they did you would see threads about them on the first page when they come out. Find me one Nintendo switch game other than zelda that has that many posts in its OT.

Those were great too. I kind of did it more off of how impactful the games were to me, and Castlevania 1 blew me away at the time. But 3 is probably the better game. Finally beat Zelda 2 about 5 years ago and it's so much better than I remember it being as a kid. But I always at least knew how special the music was in Zelda 2.
