Donald Trump: Why you should vote for me

Right. Job-killing. Old hat.
Here is an amazing paradox! The very employers and politicians and publishers who talk most loudly of class antagonism and the destruction of the American system now undermine that system by this attempt to coerce the votes of the wage earners of this country. It is the 1936 version of the old threat to close down the factory or the office if a particular candidate does not win. It is an old strategy of tyrants to delude their victims into fighting their battles for them.

Trump's ghost writers said:
In my contract, I also offer a detailed plan to immediately secure the border, stop illegal immigration and keep radical Islamic terrorists out of our country. Hillary has pledged “open borders,” mass amnesty, and a 550% increase in Syrian refugees. America’s immigration officers described Hillary’s extremist plan as “the most radical immigration agenda proposal in U.S. history.

Very careful sentence construction and use of the words 'radical' and 'extremist' there. Is this what people mean when they say 'dog-whistling'?

I'll be honest: SOME of those "policies" aren't bad.

However, the list of "Why I shouldn't vote for Donald Trump" goes on for miles, and any good is easily outweighed by the bad

Being gay doesn't mean you can't still be racist.

Yep. One of my former friends had two hobbies:

Campaigning for LGBT rights and hating Hispanic people.

I thought to myself, how can you be okay with being bigoted towards one pool of minorities in the US and get upset with people who are bigoted towards the pool of minorities you choose to support?

Never said it didn't. Considering the republican party's views on LGBT issues (and here specifically, trans issues), I think I have the right to be a little surprised and disappointed when they go and vote for them.

My husband is a self proclaimed 'anarchist' and 'fuck voting' type of guys.

I've voted in every election since 2000 when I turned 18. He's 39, and never votes in his life.

Until this year. He made a point of it, made sure he was registered, and angrily filled in the Clinton bubble because, in his words, 'fuck Trump and everything he stands for'

I honestly never thought I'd see the day that my husband would vote, much less without any prodding from me. He walked our ballots to the box himself.

And then told me if I told anyone he voted he's shoot me lol

So year, sorry Trump. My 'fuck the government' husband broke his own moral code just to add his name to the list of people telling you to fuck off.

I don't think your chances are high.

Kasich/Rubio 2020 !

Believe!
I think that the next candidate will be even more extreme and right-wing. A mixture of Ted Cruz and David Duke.

If Hillary wins, she will stay in the White House for eight years. Assuming that Obama will lose in 2012 was a big mistake by the Republicans.

We already have a mix of Ted Cruz and David Duke on the ballot. His name is Mike Pence.

I am so glad this is almost over. Didn't he say that if he loses we wont see him for a long time? Please let that be true.

This guy must really think we're fucking idiots. I'm 100% certain Donald Trump is 100 times more corrupt than Hillary Clinton will ever be. This man is a full blown con artist trying to convince us that he's the honest, trustworthy person in this race who will look out for the little guy that is always being taken advantage of by the corrupt system.

Just who the fuck is he kidding? He can fuck off and I will take great pleasure in not only voting for Hillary tomorrow, but I will be voting straight down ballot for nothing but Democrats to help her.

He seems to have repealing Obamacare as his main tangible policy. Do Americans not see free or subsidised healthcare as important?

This is the first election in which I had the privilege of voting. And while this may very well be one of the nastiest elections in the country's history, I think it's one that carries symbolic importance.

This is beautiful, you are a true patriot :') 🇺🇸

I wonder if he’ll make all Presidential Orders 144 or less characters so he can send them via Twitter. Oh wait, they took that away from him…

If I was a visible minority living in the US, and I woke up Wednesday morning to see Trump won, I literally don't think I would be able to live a normal day again. This is what Trump has brought to the table. I wouldn't feel safe in my own country, in my own home.

Wut.

Reading shit like that makes me a little disappointed at how poorly modern Democrats and in particular this campaign has been at framing this moment in history. It's refreshing to see the party on the offensive and confidentially taking control of a narrative in favor of the government functioning. Not being on the defensive and tip toeing around opposition attacks.

I know unique historical context and situations but still, there was and is no good reason why the Democrats should be stuck on the defensive given how Republicans operated for 6 years. It's not even a particularly difficult narrative to frame either.

This should of been an election where the Republicans do-nothing obstructionism, Trump's empty promises and the angst of rural America gets turned against the party claiming to speak for them. Putting the entire strategy of obstructionism as governance and empty rhetoric on trial and unifying the party as co-operative force that will get things done. This entire period feels like a lot of strategic missed opportunities.

That's because he has never been able to stay on message and only recently put together a team that could somewhat cobble together something that took advantage of his outsider status, his greatest asset as a candidate.

According to reports, his team is still squabbling and sending him mixed messages.

Which ones in particular.

All of them come off like the typical Republican, vague, double speak that should have numerous asteriks near each.

Lan Dong Mik

And why would I want them?
Man, just took a look at my FB feed. I am absolutely shocked at all of the people who appear to be supporting Trump all of a sudden. This is some twilight zone shit. I'm legit worried right now. This guy isn't going to win right? Fuck.
