America is the greatest because we take all the greatest things about every other country, their most talented and intelligent, their food, their culture, and you can access all of it here.

But sweden can keep their salted candies. We don't want those

I find that America, like most countries, has areas in which it excels and other areas at which it sucks.

For example, American cities in general tend to be quite horrid relative to their counterparts in the developed world. Bad transit, bad urban / suburban design, ugly, poor density, bad urban schools, unfriendly people, etc.

Conversely, I think rural and natural areas in America are quite nice and, if you ignore their political beliefs, the people are generally friendly,
 
This made me look up the medal count at Sochi since I haven't been paying attention to it at all.

USA has the most total medals, most silver, and most bronze, and is third when it comes to gold. That's "performing poorly?"

I know right? we give other countries a chance to shine and this is the thanks we get. guess we'll have to pad the lead in Rio some more.

I admire the pride op. Especially with the specific examples. I mean yo claimed beer over Germany and Belgium and weed over NL. Much respect.

all of those things sound great. especially the defense spending part. gotta flex those biceps or you start to atrophy.
