Dota 2 Beta Thread: [Brewmaster]

Watching SK.Link stream's atm, and I'm quite curious about how Valve will answer when DotA2 comes out.

I mean...well, again there's an Invoker in this game, and again his silly NadoEMP combo is causing serious, serious trouble for the Radiant. So at least I'm comforted since I'm not alone in having huge difficulties with it.

However, it begs the question, how will Valve cater to and retain the more casual players? How long can they just ignore the incessant complaints about such and such heroes? Or will they just entirely dismiss that player base?

As long as their solution for casuals doesn't change the high levels of play, something like a different pool, I don't care at all. But if they listen to bads complaining and nerf invoker, or whomever, for everyone, I'll be pretty mad.

Wondering when we'll see new Axe in some competitive games (after today's patch, perhaps, or did the 6.73 balance changes go into tourney mode with the Invoker update?).

Oh god, Lifestealer. That CM be melting her delicates.

Even with the patches changes, I doubt we'll ever see Axe.

I mean we're not seeing heroes like Alchemist, Morphling or Jakiro either. They're not bad heroes by any means, but for a competitive scene with pro players, other heroes are just better.

Also Fnatic totally got outpicked, can't see it ending well for them.

How do you let a team have prophet, venomancer and chen without picking any counterpush heroes?

Well I guess windrunner and AA arent terrible anti push heroes, but not great either..

Morphling is fine with his buffs, he is just in the same place as spectre now. The game is too fast right now and not many people want to run turtle strats. Jakiro's problem is he is slow, is an aoe hero with meh aoe and has horrible cast animation and his stun scales like crap.

Alchemist is just I dunno. Better farmers, better rad carries but we havent seen him with the goblin buffs yet.

I'm going to guess Pandaren Brewmaster because he is fucking awesome.

Fixed. And yes, you're right, he's fucking awesome! *highfive*

Otherwise, I think it would be really interesting if Mortred was introduced right now, I think she could fit as a hard carry in certain -cm compositions.

I'm gonna guess Clinkz. Bane would be my first guess if it wasn't for the need of sleeping animations on every hero in the game.

panda was always super fun to play. would not mind his addition one bit.

personally i am anticipating bristleback more than anyone. the quality of life and animation buffs he just received in dota 1 sound fucking fantastic.

I got 2 abandons because of this one. It was Safe to Leave, yet the game counted me as leaver.

You might want to contact dev forums regarding this with replays and screenshots. I for one have never experienced this kind of problem. Still at 0 abandons and going strong.

speaking of leaving, how exactly does one leave? do you have to shut the whole game down, or is there an option in the menu I haven't seen yet?

Next week we will change the way we ship new content to you every week.

Hmmm. Wonder if they will ship smaller, more frequent updates.

Pretty small update, more or less is "Added Clinkz"
