Haly, gdec and Milk taking on Demon/Fear LOL.
SHIT. I DIDN'T KNOWthe fuck. How could u forget the delicious Jalapeno Tuna Footlong!?!?
DP at #1 makes sense but Vengeful Spirit at #2? The heck?
You're being compared to players near your skill level, could have something to do with it.my 3 / 6 ench at the first place doesn't make any sense.

My top two are weird too 5-13 morphling followed by 2-9 dark seer, whatever stats it is valve is tracking is a huge mystery.
Man, it really is true what the Internet says about Russians. Hurray for muting half the team!
Quick question: I read that Lion's Earth Spikes travel farther if you target the ground instead of the heroes. Is this true or am I being trolled? I didn't find anything on the Dota 2 wiki.
I probably should mention that as VS I feed pretty heavily and play her way too conservatively...It can make sense.
Assuming it really goes by some degree of measure that is unrelated to wins and losses, you can have a high score with a hero despite a poor record if you play that hero better than the average player, since it's all based around "how well people do with X hero".
If you click on a hero it casts it so you hit them with the middle of the stun (roughly), but casting on the ground it casts from the point you click.
You'll have to forgive me if this has been mentioned, as I am just not dipping into this thread, but has anyone else had a problem where it looks like their entire game is covered in vasaline?
Have you changed the graphic settings? For some reason this patch defaulted them down to low for me.
I played Pudge again last night, I got first blood and the next 2/3 kills for my team, and ended up with like 15 kills total, most kills of the game and a ton of assists etc as well. Plus we won. But I notice that the second you miss 1 hook the entire team calls you bad. Pudge is my main hero, I know how to play him and how to hook right, misses happen. Why do pub idiots immediately say you are bad? I don't get it, have they never played Pudge them selfs or something?
It's pretty funny though, this game it was a Bounty Hunter saying it of all heroes. Just wonder why pub people think 1 missed hook means you are bad sometimes. But then again pubs are filled with trash anyway.

I do find it odd that I'm the only one that calls 'gj' or comments on teammates' decent plays.
Just played with some randoms and one of them was speaking some sort of arcane language I am unable to decipher.
Does anyone know what the hell that means?

/high-five- I do this too...It's like this community has never heard of positive reinforcement.

I always laugh when people call you bad for missing hooks, it's like your meant to have a 100% hook rate or your bad. Good players know when to criticize and bad players only criticize.
Set Render Quality to 100% (if settings do not save/reset, set it via the autoex file)I already had them running on low (I'm playing on a shitty laptop) but they look considerably worse / less crisp.
The best way to use lion stun is to do it both ways.Ah, I see. That makes sense. I was getting yelled at for missing it since it can target heroes, but I'd rather do poorly now if it allows me to get into better habits. It was my second game as the hero so I thought I did well all things considered.

I saw Synd play Pudge last week, out of the 10 hooks he missed like 8. But like usual, the hooks he did land were great, and eventually won the game. Skillshots will always be luck based, so many other things to consider. Last night I think in that epic EG vs Mousesports game their Miranda missed like 20 arrows too, still one of the best games I've ever seen.
The best way to use lion stun is to do it both ways.
Target > 600 range , use ground targeted stun.
Target < 600 range, use hex then follow up with click on targetstun.
Lion's auto-attack range is 600 as well, so there's your point of reference. That's good advice. What's the approximate distance of 600?

Personally, I rarely ground target earth spike. More often than not, phase boots get me into range of someone I'm chasing without risking missing the spike. The only times I ever ground target is if I need to hit the midpoint between 2+ heroes I'm trying to stun or if someone has Linken's.
This is a lot harder then just giving a straight answer, here's a scenario to consider. Suppose the enemy team has this composition;New question for GAF:
When team fighting and playing as a character with a stun/hold move that only hits one person (say, Shadow Shaman, Windrunner, Storm Spirit, etc.), how do you decide who best to prioritize? The other team's tank? The most likely to die? The one hitting the hardest? The one with the strongest ult?
I was playing as Shadow Shaman a bit last night and there were a couple of team fights where I just didn't know which to go after. I just picked the closest one and that was that. But I'd like to know what the best way of prioritizing in such scenarios is, so if there are any general wisdom that can be imparted...lay it on me, please.
This week we are also increasing the number of invites being sent out. In addition, well be giving the most active Dota 2 players some more copies to gift to friends. This will be done on a regional basis based on available capacity, starting with US West.

I'm curious, did you come from a dota/hon/lol background ? I'm have a suspicion that nicer players moved over from other games.
I am still new to DOTA2. This is my first MOBA and I currently have 95 wins.
Last night I played Lycan for the first time. Went 10-1-8 and ended up with 245 cs. Had Vlads, BKB, Abyssal Blade, Treads, Aegis/Cheese (solo'd Rosh 4 times). That said, the Anti-Mage on the other team beat me down easily in the late game. I don't remember AM's gear but he was easily as farmed as I was and I know he had Manta. The Storm Spirit on the other team of course called me a noob and said that I should be able to kill a well geared AM easily. Just curious if this is true? I'm pretty the SS was just being a typical DOTA player and was trolling, but I'm always willing to learn.

Some competitive games coming up on here. Infs vs. GoSu and eSahara vs. EG. Shadow Demon is in the first game here for those who want to see him in competitive play.
Lol I can't play Lycan 'cause someone always picks it before me.
yep it's pretty ridiculous.Got to play him once last night out of 4 games, and I had to insta pick him. In all 4 games all of my teammates had him selected too.
