I encourage everyone to watch this replay as it's extremely educational.
A few things that should be taken away from this match:
1. Sniper works provided you build your team around him. This is pretty critical, as he has severe weaknesses that cannot be easily mitigated, and no, Shadowblade is not a solution to his lack of escapes. What you need is a team built around keeping you alive to DPS freely.
2. Blink on Slardar, even as Semi-carry, is extremely valuable. I know I said that he doesn't really need Blink but I should've mentioned that I was only talking about low level games. Blink should never be passed up on him if he can afford it.
3. Rush BKBs against stuns. I find myself agreeing with 2009 over PanDa's poor choice to go DPS before BKB, which costed them all of mid game as Slar/ES/Lion had their with Sentinel .
4. Kill order matters. The few times Sentinel did manage to burst down Sniper, they were free to run all over Scourge. However, the reverse is also true. If your opponents are focusing your DPS, then it behooves you to do whatever you can to disrupt their focus, which is what DK's team was more or less designed to do.
5. Jango as an early-mid game items. I know I'll be building it a lot more in future games.
6. Early Mek is devastating. The sooner you get it, the more significant its impact will be provided you take advantage of it.
7. Rosh control, self explanatory.
If you have the luxury of farming Bfury on Alchemist I would go Radiance instead.
Midas also works but I may be biased.
I wanna try out a hand of midas build on doom, you need to get it before 10 minutes right? I'm just wondering what my starting items should be, and what lane I should take, mid or safe lane?
I guess I should just go for normal regen items but the armor problem is always annoying on doom.

I think the first post might have a few things for beginners.
You'll be familiar with mouse control for camera/keyboard activating items. Bit of a steep learning curve coupled with an awful community may put you off initially.

So do any GAF people actually play the game? jkin. I have been trying to get some people to play with because even with people that are new to the game and are willing to listen is more fun than pubs. I also try to chat to people in the DOTA2 GAF channel but rarely anyone talks there so if anyone is willing to play that be awesome.

I play the game pretty regularly at night.
Confession time - I don't generally respond in the Gaf channel because everyone in there is a lot better than me and I feel guilty matchmaking with them (at least the ones that message regularly). It's also why I've been avoiding the inhouses unless I'm just going to spectate since I know how frustrating it can be playing with someone of a lower skill level.
Can't speak for others though.

Yeah, what the hell happened?
They continuously took fights outnumbered and has no map awareness at all in the beginning. Especially the Stand-In played horribly IMHO.
Not at the moment. Best thing you can do is read some guides.

I think you may still be invis even though it looks like you aren't. I've heard someone say it was just a graphic bug.

Lately I've been getting games where people just quit, I didn't get these games before they changed match making up.
3 in a row now.
Also, why is cw so much fun. I love his early game ganking. It's like pudge but actually manning up.

Oddly enough, all the Brazilians I've met in Dota 2 have been incredibly nice.
Can't say the same for when I was in LoL. People just living up to the stereotype?

I've had teammates ask me why I'm not invisible, and I'm fairly certain I've checked for the buff, too, and it hasn't been there.
Either way, I've gotten into the habit of smoking as soon as I spawn, just to reset the ult timer.

Yeah, there's a bug where Riki spawns without the invis buff and you need to attack something or use a skill to make it turn on.
Yeah, I was thinking of trying Eul's and Force Staff in some games.
I really don't like Manta on Viper that much though. The stats are nice, but I feel he doesn't really benefit from the Illusions, and the Yasha alone is enough.
It looks like you aren't invisible, but who knows, maybe you still are for the enemies.
Manta is more than just illusions.
Indeed. Can stun dodge with it, purge silences and other debuffs with it, and it's one the best items for Agility carries in the game. If you've built a Yasha, there's no reason not to complete the Manta and get the extra 10% attack speed, 10 damage, 10 Strength and 10 Int, as well as the illusions, stun dodge, and purge. Everything it gives is valuable.
