My problem with the chatban system remains this:
I don't want to play with chatbanned people. If they're assholes that need punishing, send them to LPQ. If they're not assholes (one-time deal, or wrongfully accused), then I'm playing with gimped communication.

Just read the banning system bit on the dota 2 homepage, good stuff.
I've noticed a huge drop in people talking shit and being dicks since it has started.
There's more cooperation now and people act more reserved.
They HAD to do something, moba communities are vile pits of stupid and rage, dota 2 now feels no worse than any other online game with a decent community (whereas before it felt nearly as bad as league of legends and cod)
You do not get banned easily btw... I've had a few people false report me (for pausing the game when someone disconnected) and I let slip a dickish comment every now and then if I'm having a particularly bad day, but I've never been muted.
The system seems to work well to me, I tend to get a 'we took action against some player you reported' message every other day, and I only report those who are really obnoxious. (of which there seem to be less every day)
The low rate of 'recidivism' suggests that it really is very effective.
I have a few friends who talked shit way too often in dota and they got muted almost immediately and have behaved since.

Played Lina for the first time in a non bot game tonight. Went really well I was laning with Troll Warlord and it was kinda OP. First time I felt like I pub stomped the other team. I finished 12/1/12. With the scepter her ulti is really strong. I think I one shot the drow ranger twice.

Please don't give her the shampoo ad hair that you seem to love so much. The hair in your sets looks really "off" to me compared to the aesthetic of the game/designs of the heroes.

Not even trying to steal people's kills , zeus just wrecks people so hard if he gets some ok farm or kills early on.
Seeing those triple kill messages when you ult with skepter is funny as hell.
Had refresher orb before their enchantress and carry had over 1200 hp so they died from full hp
Idk why pubs don't build a hp item and some spell resist in these games.

This ain't leeg brah. HP items are narrow and hard to come by, spell resist exists only on a single defensive item.
Lich's ult is a lot of fun to toss at least.

Welp guys I finally had a good experience with Treant. Guy on my team picks him and asks if he can solo the safe lane, so we give it to him. Ursa jungled and I supported Viper top. We crushed every single lane; I'll have to watch the replay to check, but I seriously don't think the enemy team got a single tower on us. Living Armor is no joke. OD absolutely bodied Warlock at mid, which was hilarious because Warlock was talking shit at the beginning that OD had no chance against him.
As a bonus, DK disconnected for 5 mins because his cat tripped the power cord to his computer.

Nerfs I expect to see on Magnus: Manacost of Skewer upped to 110, cooldown stays a constant 10, Empower duration lowered to 30 seconds again.
Also, I can't see Gyro getting away without something nerfed, all his spells are great. I just don't know what would be going to far. Flak cannon is his bread and butter, but it so damn good at all points in the game.
And Kunnka's Cleave needs to have a damn toggle, but I'm not expecting that.

We had this one but for a few really, really bad teamfights (we just didn't focus the same hero at all). Buddy on the Viper got frustrated and just stopped playing/building defensively, but it's kinda easy to do if you still don't have a ton of games under your belt. Drums or Shadow Blade probably would have treated him a lot better than "rushing" an MKB.
