Hah, those idiots already busted the Yak/Stumpy market.

If only they knew those things sold for more BEFORE they were immortal.
Yea the market is completely crashing.

The price chart is pretty hilarious.

It would take a concentrated effort to keep them selling for a good price.

There are way, way too many of them already in players' hands for them to increase in value in any significant way. It'll take years for them to be worth anything.

I think people just automatically assumed that immortal=money without really thinking about it.

On the bright side, my Dragonclaw Hook is still rising in price slowly.

I've been sitting on the hook, mace, and Bfury wondering when I should go for it.

Honestly, I like my Hook, so unless it gets to some absurd price one day, I'll probably hold on to it.

Almost a hundred bucks seems pretty absurd, to be honest. But I'm going to keep hold of it too

I have the Void mace, dunno what it's going for now but I'd rather keep it than sell it. Even though I'm not even using it right now, using a strange one that counts kills + chronos.

A normal yak/stumpy will never be worth anything. Even mid level ones were meh.

Those insanely rare unusuals like piercing beams or candy flame just got more expensive, but those guys were able to set their price anyways. One of a kind items are pretty much immortal anyways.

Are piercing beam and flame the rarer unusual effects or are those highly sought after just because they look cooler?

Was playing as Bristleback. I go up to a PA, he starts running away. Then his team starts coming to support him so he turns around and he's chasing me as thorns are whittling down his HP. His team arrives, I toggle on Armlet, kill him, then die.

Me: hahahahaha you fucking newb.

Next game: muted.

;_;

I ruined his next game, since there's no repercussions once you're already muted. Reports do nothing.

Fuck low priority. FUCK IT!

Joined 2 games with it and had 2 dc's.

I abandoned one game because Steam was fucking up and kept disconnecting me so I guess that's why.

No just piercing beams or flame is not good enough you have to pair it with a good color
But stuff has to look cool, things like "ice frogs" make for ironic matches too.

This kind of explains it. But there are even rarer courier colors which don't even appear on that page which are basically oneofakind setyourownprice. Even non gbr couriers can go for $3000+ if it is oneofakind and it looks cool.

You do realize that you only get muted for consistently bad behavior. You won't get muted for one game. I know at least 5 people who have been muted more than once and they're all assholes in game pretty frequently.

I'm an asshole on occasion. The occasions add up. I know how it works, but that isn't going to save the dudes who reported from revenge.

Never say anything on Sunday. Is that when people get their 2 reports refreshed. Shittalk all you want Saturday night

Maybe resist the urge to call people fucking newbs

Eventually you will only get matched with other assholes that are unable to function in a social context. Sounds completely fine to me. There is no need to actually ban dicks from playing if they are kept to themselves. Which is what Valve is aiming for.

Wow i can only imagine the pain associated with 24/7 low priority match making

That MM pool is filled with 97% scum and i hope to never go there again

Couldn't. Was too funny.

Yeah he's acting like he ain't the asshole. lol

No I'm not.

Not quite. You're in the same matchmaking pool, only you can't talk.

Typical attitude in sea server really.

US, not SEA.

I was thinking of trying Drow. I guess they've added so much new bullshit people will complain about her less.

Is it crazy buying a force staff on her? I know it's not really a carry item and I would probably get reported for trying it in a pub. But the thing is no one would find it strange on carry silencer, I know he gets a bit of damage from it but not really all that much. It's basically an alternative to a shadow blade as a way of helping her keep her distance but something that will still work after they buy detection. I also the chasing power is neat and I don't think you can ever have too much of that.

So if I go something like boots, hotd and crystalis by level 11 I should be able to solo rosh. (or maybe earlier I don't know.) The only worry is if after that I go force staff and then bkb that's quite a lot of gold on stuff that doesn't improve her damage. But then her damage is already daft, so the question is do you want to maximise her strengths or cover her weaknesses.

Another thing, am I missing something about precision aura or are the second, third and fourth points kind of shit? To the point where I might take stats instead. (I always see people max it before silence though.)

Well, assuming no items, it adds about 17 damage from skill level 1-4 if you're level 20.

If you throw in Agi Treads, Manta, and Butterfly, skill level 1-4 adds 25 damage if you're level 20.
(208*.28)-(208*.16)=24.96

I didn't think about adding my math until that last calculation, so you'll have to trust me a bit.

Leveling it early may just be habit from when Frost Arrows were much worse. Taking stats over it, though, would be a bad choice.

Now that you mention it, Force Staff actually sounds cool on Drow since you desperately need to keep your distance or else you can't manfight enemy carries nearly as well. She doesn't really need damage items in the early game and she needs great positioning. Cool idea, definitely. The only real downside is that Shadow Blade is probably better because it helps you damage-wise and gives you similar benefits if the enemies don't have detection. If they do, Force Staff is probably better.

Just had a game with Huskar and man so much fun. Ended up 14 and 14 and while that is a pretty bad score for a win it allowed for the Windrunner on our team to get mad farm and kills. Second most kills, still not bad.

It really is a sacrificial build, as long as you kill one it really does make it worth it and at least you cripple their strongest hero.

If you're popping your heal and ghost on time, you really shouldn't die a lot.

Weird, just had a game where someone got the new wax chest drop but there are no kets yet, right?

Yeah, the monthly community chests tend to drop a week before Valve releases the key. Gives people a chance to find them ahead of time, and allow them to wait till the very last second to decide what they are going to put in the box.

Can someone explain why people are buying yaks?
They were discontinued, so there will be no more ever added to the game. As such, people thought they would rapidly increase in value. They forgot, however, that there are like 50,000 of them in the game, and price is a function of supply and demand. The supply won't become low unless this game's player base quadruples in size.

People thought they were being smart, but they really weren't being smart.

Honestly you'd have to be a pretty big noob to chase down bristleback when you have low health. Sounds like he got pretty butthurt for being called out on his mistake.

Is there a reason they've stopped it? I had one drop ages ago.

GabeN tinkering with this experiment again?

Having unlimited control and all the data of an entire private economy is an economist's wet dream. Valve is most probably screwing around and trying to find the best way to continue monetizing shit.
