I cant believe people are getting so riled up by Anuxi's Luna set. I think the fae butterfly theme fits her amazingly. I'd probably buy the mount if I wasnt the poorz cause I love a good fae design thats really alien looking. Its certainly the most imaginative.

Reminds me of the anger over the lunar dragon mount for Mirana (which didnt look nearly as good as this).

How good is huskar for a noob like me?

The other day I did a good job protecting one since it seems that he has troubles at the beginning
He's a hero who is stronger the lower his health is which means newcomers usually fuck up with him because they fight when they shouldn't thinking they are godlike at low health. Or the opposite they run when they should man up. You also need to manage your Spear, toggle with Armlet if you have it and toggle between Burning Spear/life steal orb if you make HotD. Not a noob friendly hero but once you get a feel for his strengths and weaknesses you can definitely do some damage with him.

Don't make HotD, it's just shit on him after the change. Also at least before the change he was one of the most noob friendly heroes in the business.

I think it's warranted. She's doing a legit hard carry which looks great but is counter-culture to that macho- male kill everything mindset. Maybe not Alpine but something similar. It will be interesting to see where Volvo goes since all 3 artists are well known and have made a lot of sets. The zaphk/onilolz ones just doesn't pop either, but the weapon does look pretty badass when she spins it.

It does look a bit busy to be fair.

I played Slark for the first time last night...

It was weird feeling not having to lane and just roaming around farming heroes...I can see why people call him pubstomp trash...it was a little too easy to snowball with him...I went something like 21-6...could have had more but a bounty and void kept stealing my kills...

It did look like we were going to lose at one point because we had less towers and my team mates started feeding but after telling my team mates to 4 man them whilst I roamed for their carry's we managed to turn an even encounter into a stomp...I was even winning 1 v 1 vs an Ursa which is weird...I've only managed such feats with Razor and Spectre.

I was just playing against this new huskar...
As QOP I couldnt lane against him mid!
He just throws a fire spear to you and that's enough for a tango so i couldnt get cs early..
If you try to harass him he just stacks the fire spears and you die.
Maybe I'm a noob and i shouldve won(probably), but what the hell could one do against him?

HotD is STILL good on huskar. Don't be confused about that.

Yeah, his magic resistance can get pretty retarded.

Phase gives him the mobility that he wants, and the passive gives him more than enough DPS imo.

I liked phase boots a lot more in testing too. Just seemed natural. New passive gives less dmg and more attack speed + survivability, so trade out the str/as boots for dmg boots. Mobility is wonderful as well.

Isn't all of that true against the old huskar as well? Although I guess you can't reliably punish him for being too heavy with the fire spears any more with a blink + scream.

But with old Huskar you could just nuke him as he's taking his own health to throw those things at you. You get back, Bottle/Tango up and you're okay, meanwhile he's fucking himself to harass you. Now he has that ridiculous magic resistance so QoP pretty much loses that matchup since that's where most of her damage comes from.

But you want the extra health plus stats so your heal is more effective. If you don't get some strength on you then your heal isn't as effective.

This is why someone needs to do a full theory craft on new Huskar. Urn or War Drums early? Treads or Phase? Should I get Heaven's Halbred for the strength + evasion + disable? Armlet? Crits first? AC/armor quick? Hell what about Ghost Scepter into Ethereal Blade? What about a late game Satanic?

Also new skill build... do I get a couple points in Spear and max Berserker Blood? Or do I just get one point in Spear and max the other two? Is it worth getting stats over lvl3/4 Spear?

Huskar vs Silencer

Worst lane

I've been saying this for a long time, and nobody listened to me. I remember losing a lane as Huskar against a Silencer back when Last Word was reworked and everyone thought I was just stupid and feeding. They did not know my pain.

Points in spear increase the damage but the HP drain is the same at all levels.

I know but are points in Spear better than points in Heal/Blood. That's what I am asking here.

You will always want to max Blood first. And heal isn't that important early if you are getting lots of Urn charges.

I'd say get more points in heal if you aren't getting much ganks or are getting behind.

Yes, they make up 90% of your damage output until really late. I don't think maxing Blood first is needed unless you have a really tough lane with high magical damage or you're expecting to be ganked.

I vastly prefer maxing spears first, the damage output you get at level seven is completely insane with max spears. Berserkers can wait.

http://www.dota2wiki.com/wiki/Magic_Wand why is this item so vital? at least I found that the heal is too low, but maybe I'm missing the bigger picture

It's not always viable. It mainly depends on what you're up against. There are some heroes, that when you're going against one in lane scream "BUY A WAND FOR ME!" Examples of this are Batrider and Bristleback. Those two have spells with low mana costs on a really short cooldown they will be spamming the fuck out of early game. Get wands against them so you can quickly get those charges and you have those heals all the time!

For pubs not really, but in a competitive game where every HP counts it is. Most trench pubs will farm till they do huge amounts of damage rendering stick useless

anuxi's new set needs more ass
She upped the ass, then brought it back. I don't think you can modify the base model

If you're not a pro who knows exactly what you're doing, you should buy at least magic stick in 100% of your games.
It's the best item in the game, simple as that.
8 charges and it restores as much hp as a bracer gives you+you get mana. It improves sustainability and survivability.
Not to mention when you can use it more than once, as it only has 13 sec cd.

Getting early GG branches is pretty much essential on most heroes in the game. The stats they provide are very cost effective. When you don't want to waste those stats by selling them to make space, you can convert them into the wand. The wand is a great item because it stores charges based on enemy spells used in the vicinity. Any hero who is active in ganks/team fights will make great use of this and so can make heroes who have evasive spells as a clutch use of wand can give you back that Blink or Wave form you were out of before. The heal/mana recharge is INSTAND so its used for clutch situations. In the early game the heal/recharge is substantial provided you get the wand up and running early. It will give allow you to survive longer and stay in lane early. Against particular lanes and line ups... sometimes its beneficial to even get the initial small wand first so you can have survive against Bristleback, Batrider, Zeus etc.

If you don't understand how good magic stick and branches are, you need to buy magic stick and branches.

Once you know how good they are, you can stop buying them.

On the same line of discussion, practice saving charges on your sticks. Blowing them all the time is less effective than saving up a 15 charge wand that can completely turn fights for a large portion of the game.

I won 19/23 games last week, it was a crazy good run. I knew however, that the Dota gods were waiting to smite me. Yep, 4/16. The last 3 games have been the biggest jokes, it's unbelievable. SF goes 0/14, LD goes 0/13... The latest, I somehow got a Zeus on my team who had only 3 wins and didn't really understand how to play. He got destroyed mid, I offered to swap, nope. He rage quit a few minutes later. Ugh. I don't mind losing if they're somewhat balanced teams, but it has just been nothing but stomps. I think I'll give it a break for a little while, as it's not a lot of fun at the moment.
