All 3 were racing to finish first, idk what would have happened if they had more time or feedback.

I really like the Vlad black hair. And I also like Aunuxin's armor. But I don't like the helmet he has on her set. So hopefully both get made, so I can mix and match this. EDIT: I also really like the Eternal Eclipse set. Truth be told, I would probably give my character the Eternal set + Vlad's black hair.

Luna gear makes me happy. :)

You didn't go aghs/refresher on Razor. You'll have a losing streak until this is rectified.
Randomed Razor, so went for it. I had fun.

I NOW GET WHAT EVERYONE MEANS BY THE PATHING IN THIS GAME BEING SULLSHIT.

Someone explain to me why in the fuck this would happen. I am on Dire, we are walking back to base from the secret shop.

I'm walking along path A first. Then I click to move at point B. Now I'm thinking I can pay attention to what the other team is doing and not worry about my movement unless they are going on me, right? WRONG.

I would think I would take the shortest path to get there, Path C, but no, HUSKAR STARTS FUCKING WALKING ON PATH D, RIGHT INTO THE OTHER TEAM. I'm scrambling over my keyboard as it's just hit me what happened, I died, we lost the teamfight and the rax. What the fuck is that Valve?! I don't know if that would have changed the game's outcome, but either way it's utter bullshit. If you don't believe me, I even highlighted it on stream.

looks fine tbh, im guessing you just thought you were up further than you actually were.

Just played a game where I was laning suicide as clock with a tide against tiny, omni. Tide kept walking up to tiny trading hits with him, maxing kraken shell first, all this time I was telling him to stop and he said "no I'm kiting him".

I don't think he knew what kiting meant.

He also proceeded to die 4 times in lane, and go 0-14 for the game. Was not fun.

Sure as hell felt wrong to me. I saw the clicks I made in base and I should have been heading through mid instead of bot.

It is fucking frustrating to sit there for 50 minutes, and watch two members of your team fail to do their jobs. We had a Lifestealer, a CARRY that did not CARRY. Every fucking time he just refused to use Rage to block shit. That is literally your "OH SHIT" button if you're playing Naix. He sees Alchemist standing RIGHT FUCKING NEXT TO HIM, CHARGING HIS STUN, and what does he do? He right clicks and munches away at him thinking "I'll be just fine, I don't need that red macaroni shield." "THAT WAS A CLOOOOOOSE ONE. *BOOSH*" he gets stunned by that stupid thing, for the umpteenth time. We are sitting there telling him to use his Rage, and he says "Oh, it' makes you magic immune?" and then says he was being sarcastic. I'm honestly not sure if he was or not.

We had a Slark, that I don't know what the fuck he was doing. He wanted to go Shadow Blade at first, and we talked him out of that one. I don't even know how someone could think Shadow Blade Slark is a good idea. Sounds up there with Bloodstone Slark to me.

Kunkka did okay, had some good boats, X's, and stuff. Sand King was doing his job and initiating. Naix and Slark though, I don't understand what the fuck they were doing the whole game. I looked at Lifestealer at 17 minutes (there was a pause) and all he had was a Midas, Stout Shield, Quelling Blade, and naked Boots. How the hell does a Lifestealer with a Midas (assuming he even got that Midas quick enough, but I'm going to guess he got it at 10 minutes or something) only have FUCKING BOOTS at 17 minutes. I would expect at least some finished up Treads of Phase Boots. I panicked at that point.

I did my job, I ganked the shit out of the other team to give our guys room to farm. Obviously they did not take advantage of it. Nyx can't carry, so I'm forced to sit there while our ancient just falls and we can't do a damn thing about it because their carries farmed and ours didn't. Seriously, how does a fucking Lifestealer with a Midas only have that stuff at 50 minutes? I would expect he should at least have a Mjollnir or AC in addition to that stuff by then.

Don't play carry if you're terrible at the game, seriously.

No. You cannot hit an ethereal hero with an Orb attack. Heroes with Orb attacks can manually cast to autoattack while ethereal, however.

Ah ok, I guess that would be a bit too easy. Although OD could still be good I guess since he can banish him for the ghost duration and he has that pure damage. Makes Huskar get BKB anyway.

Slark Shadowblade is viable, but it's simply not as good as other builds.

You get free regen in teamfights or next to enemies, you can purge dust and then shadowblade, so gem or sentries are the only thing working to reveal you.

And as I said some pages back, I started playing more carries recently, because I just can't trust randoms carrying the game.

You can purge dust during your ult though. You have an ult to get free regen in teamfights. Gem and sentries reveal you during your ult. How does Shadow Blade do any of that differently other than not give you away to AoE if they have no detection, and the 150 bonus damage.

Shadow Blade let's you initiate and set up even easier ganks, also after your ult wears off, getting 2-4 seconds of regen can change a teamfight or let you escape unharmed.
Shadowblade is a strong item for what it offers, but as I said, there is probably better stuff to build on Slark, but it's viable in pub play.

Jesus christ for someone that doesn't realize how Shadow Blade on Slark could be useful you sure do bitch a lot.

It sounds as useful as Blink Dagger on Anti-Mage. There are a billion other things you could buy, hell, if you want better initiation, get a Blink, although I think that one is dumb too. You have a leap to initiate with, and you are fast as hell to get in position before they can see you. They can counter the Shadow Blade the same way they would your ult, so you have wasted cash on redundancy.

What? You get attack speed that Slark desperately needs and damage which he can use. You can initiate (which you can't with your ult) and you can move around the map at constant max speed while you're regening. What's to hate?
Honestly the worst item in that match is a Dagon 5 against an incredibly tanky team.

Most of those guys aren't tanky?

What about Slark ult that passively does that? There are a billion other AS items you can get that you will get your money's worth out of. Drums, Maelstrom, hell even a naked Hyperstone is better. You want damage? Go get any of the better damage items out there.

Two bloodstones, Alchemist and Spectre.

I already explain why it's different, don't really want to continue a circular argument.

You said it does the same thing that your ult already gives you. It doesn't give you "double regen" or something.
You have yet to provide an adequate reason for it.
I'm not sure how you don't like sb slark. It's borderline op in pubs. Godlike in trench.
I don't play for the "trench", I may see trenchies in games, I may make trench mistakes myself sometimes, but I will not do stupid builds where the strategy is relying on the team's stupidity. I may do a fun build if it's an utter stomp, but otherwise it's actual Dota I want to play.

I would have thought a good 1v1 hero like Slark would appreciate being able to scout people out and close the distance with shadow walk. Never tried it though. The downside is they might have sentries everywhere anyway cause of shadow dance. But then I always think if invis initiation was that easy to counter Nyx wouldn't be so good.

I'm think I'm going to go orchid slark next time though. Like Orchid Bounty, should be fun times.

Seems to be the pro build as well

Your ult doesn't give allow you to skip creepwaves at hasted speed and go straight for an hero because it lasts to little and shows exactly where you, doesn't give you any initiation because pounce just doesn't cut it a little later in the game, doesn't give you any dps and doesn't give you any burst. Not only that, it lasts 5.5 seconds and has a 25 seconds cooldown so you want to use in a fight. What can you do if the fight if the fight is not over after your ult is done? You may want to pounce out, Shadow Blade, regen a little ad then come back in.
You would be one of the people that reported me because of Shadow Blade Gondar before the fix, because you don't actually think about what an item gives you, you just see one thing that doesn't seem that good and you discard it without giving it second thought.

Shadow Blade lets you regen and run fast when you'd normally be seen and lose the passives.

I'm curious to see VODs of this. Was it a one-off thing or the pro standard?

SB on BH was never intended to work that way and was technically a bug. Assuming I didn't know it was bugged and thought it worked properly, yeah, I probably would have because if you did SB on BH today (fixed), then that's obviously and objectively bad build and there would be no way in hell you aren't throwing with that.

You said "Pounce out" in your example. In that case, why don't you just get out of vision? You're already pretty much halfway to doing that, and if the teamfight is going on that long, then you are probably only going back in to clean up (assuming you are winning the fight).

Yes, and you would have out of ignorance instead of trying to understand the reasoning.

What if you're near wards? Or heroes? Or creeps? Why do you assume i'm winning the fight?

And what if you're near sentry wards or a hero with a gem? You aren't getting any usefulness out of that SB. Any good team will buy these things for a Slark.

When it is commonly known that the skills don't stack, there is no "try to understand." The first time I saw someone do that I assumed they were trolling. Nothing tells you that other than Googling it or reading a forum or something, so when it was discovered, of course few people knew. Before I knew and someone in a random doto on the internet told me that, do you really think I would believe them, especially in a game where people can troll like that?

With all this talk of Shadowblade on inappropriate (or appropriate, depending on your perspective) heroes, what about shadowblade on Nyx?

I know that blink or dagon generally offer him more, but it would mean he could essentially combo without his ulti and if the damage stacks with his crit (which I'm not sure of) could possibly be used in conjunction with his ulti to do even more damage.

Been considering this as a possibility on him, despite the inherent disadvantages of having it instead of a blink dagger or dagon.

But it doesn't, and the reason people sometimes get Blink on him is if they have a gem, so he can still initiate on someone in a fight. The ult cooldown really isn't that bad, and if you really want an extra escape, get Blink. Stun and blink away is always an option.

The reason Vendetta and Shadow Walk don't stack with SB is because all of those spells are Windwalk from WC3, and the same spell buff does not stack.
