Ok Dota GAF, question time!

I was Doom Bringer, solo top Radiant against Rubick and Sven.
We had a Furion jungling.

I asked him if we could switch lanes, because he being a ranged hero and with his treants he could actually do something in the lane and not just leech XP and barely get some devours off. He basically told me to fuck off, because he was farming jungle and he couldn't care less what is happening on my lane. I even said that giving Sven free farm from the beginning probably isn't a good idea but he just ignored me.

We still won the game in the end, because most of the enemy team played pretty horrible, but still, was I actually in the right to demand that we switch positions? I go jungle and farm with Doom, while he can farm the toplane.

What say you GAF? Was my suggestion ok?
In trench jungle is instaloss because they never stop jungling. It's like hey I'm getting gold and exp, not dying, fuck lane this is heaven.

Guilds can't come soon enough. I was playing 5v5 with randoms and doing great with Zeus... an easy character admittedly, but escaped plenty of close calls. We should have won it, but two of our teammates just let us down. Too much chasing the kills and not pushing the towers.

Quantic throwing against EG.

Anything over 100 ping is bad.

Over 200 and I accept that I'm probably going to lose.

I'm always at 40-50 with my ping. *shrugs*

It rarely goes above that. My friend on the other hand, will hover at 70, then get huge spikes to 200. Playing with him is a bitch, because he has good days where there is no lag. But some days the lag is just too much, and he has to quit playing.

My ping is almost always 90in USE, and 150 in USW. Also, it feels like the match making puts you in USW 4/5 games if you have both selected.

My ping is 40 on USE, and my connection is turrible.

Mang, feels good when you're awarded with your first "Leader" and "Teaching" commendation.
Feels even more good when you get informed that your report was used to ban that cad who decided kill\death ratio were more important than team chemistry (and led your team to lose the game).

In the end, he got a mythical chest and I got my usual wax chest. So, yeah, what do I know. Crime always pays.

Just played with a bunch of fucking mongs who literally all went a minimum of 0-6. The final score was like 30-3. I was 2-2-0, and their jungler got killed by a neutral. Not one single kill by anyone else on my team. Thankfully they finished it quick so I didn't waste my whole evening on that garbage.

Just had a perfect game that shows why I don't want a concede button in the game: we were losing 0-7 in the first ten minutes, and a couple other players were already saying "its over", but we came back decisivly and stomped them.

I fucking hate people giving up so early in the game. I don't really rage, but that just makes me furious.

My stance on the concede option is that I'd like it to be there, but only accessible after 15-20 mins and the other team having a very, very, very big exp/kills/gold advantage, ie: truly one sided games. Calling gg at 10 mins is bad yeah, but after 20 mins you more or less know what will the game devolve into.

Edit: New dota cinema series

Those aren't the games I want a concede button though; I want one for games where you lose two out of three lanes are lost in the first ten minutes and they're at your tier 3s in about 20 minutes because a jungler refused to be part of any teamfights and their carry is outdoing yours in every capacity. In some games, taking the throne becomes a formality. They shouldn't let you concede until about 25 mins or so, but if you're looking at 32-3 scoreboard and you've taken 0 towers, you may as well move on to the next game.

No way. 10 minute fountain diving and abandon forcing is part of the game brah.

I'm done with it, fucking 10 losses in a row. Every game I try to play my best support but last game was just stupid, again noone chose a support (it was single draft) so I decided to go IO, guess what my team decides I should go fucking mid against a Pudge and make sure everythings warded and come to the other lanes once in a while... I should just stop solo queing -.-'

Same. My next match was a 0-6 start or 1-7 or something. Ended up losing 2 teammates and still winning 3v5, thanks largely to my 34-4-14 performance as Weaver. Had Heart, Radiance, Rapier, Linken's. And another Rapier that I lost to the other team.

My dota pet peeve is people giving up or saying "its over". I've been playing since reign of chaos days, and one thing that rarely changed was that there is ALWAYS hope to win, and its always worth trying. This is even back in the days when people would just straight up quit all the time, and we still manage to win 3v5's or 2v4's.

Also, the best games I've ever played were often total comeback games. I played a game a few weeks ago that started at something like 2-22, and we won it in the end despite having 10 less kills than the other team.

At one point, once you're good enough at lasthitting and farming. Stop picking supports and just carry your team in solo queue. It's not worth it playing support 9/10 times.

Pick supports where you know you can carry to some degree or have big impact in teamfights, like Jakiro/Warlock/SandKing.

Otherwise avoid them unless it is Random Draft or something.

Bet Emerson would've benefited from a surrender

Play Treant Protector.

A support that even if you solo queue, you should have no problem essentially winning the game (well, as close as you can as a support) by simply spamming Living Armor.

Why try and be tactical with Io when you can just spam one button!

Had a game with 2 other GAF'ers yesterday (Captain Fish and Prophet Steve if I remember correctly), anyway we get 2 other peeps via matchmaking. One of 'em decides to carry with Sven and he even get's babysat by Steve on the Rubick.

I know the number of wins tells you nothing but I kinda expect after a 1000 wins you know how to last hit and play a carry that is getting babysat.
Dude had a 28 minute bkb. Dude was babysat in safe lane on Radiant and after the laning fase he goes farming the other lanes and ignores all of the teamfights.

But seriously a 28 minute bkb...... Only purchase before that was threads...
Other team have a void that has BF, Mjolnir, threads and HotD.
The rest of us are kinda left to 4v5 every fight while he goes off farming and he still gets fuck all farm, I mean I need to see the replay where this is going wrong but I'm pretty sure it's Sven.

I can never have a good game as Sven, can't farm on that character and always do a support Sven.

Gyro on the other hand is my homie, last game I went 23-3 and just ripped the other team a new one. I hate seeing a Gyro that goes Aghms, what a waste.

What do you guys think is the best way to build Timbersaw after 6.78? Bloodstone seems amazing if you are getting early kills and good farm, but obviously that's not going to happen every game. I've read some people saying Rod of Atos into Eul's is a good way to go after mana boots. Those items give you a decent mana pool, but the regen isn't even close to a bloodstone with some charges. Maybe I'm just using my abilities too often, but I always was TPing back to fountain to recharge. Would atos, eul's urn, and soul ring/sage's mask be a good idea?
