LiQuid!

I proudly and openly admit to wishing death upon the mothers of people I don't like
Don't bother with magic, duelyst is the future.

Eh, I was kinda disappointed tbh. For all the talk of it being a faster paced game, I found it to feel slow, waiting for animations and spell effects and such. Didn't feel like it taking place on a grid added much to what was a pretty standard ccg-style experience either. It was just an added layer of bloat. I could definitely see how that could be a selling point for people sick of Hearthstone clones tho, so I'm all for it. I pop in for a game of it still occasionally , but the urge to get deep in it never struck me.

Faeria is another really good one but It feels slower than duelyst so you might not dig it (also has a grid). I like the grid aspect of it though because different forms of movement is another way to make cards unique, and it makes the game feel more tactical to me.

Yesterday I learned that towers can still apparently hit you under Winter Wyvern's ult. That's one of those things that doesn't make much sense, but is apparently a thing. The description even says this:

The frozen ally and those cursed to attack their ally are immune to all damage from their enemies.

why do pubs hate taking roshan ? like they prefer to throw bodies at the rax , doing no damage, when the enemy carries are near respawn time instead of entering the rosh pit and taking the aegis....I dont get it.

ODPixel left moonduck down in the dirt haha

You gotta wonder what kind of money the orgs fork out for these guys cause they could easily freelance it and be contracted on a tournament basis.

I'm sure there's something to be said for ad revenue and possibly a salary too, over the cyclical payment structure of majors. But yeah, I wish we'd hear more about all that but I know why we don't.

Moonduck still has a lot of personality and some great casters, but BTS is just a powerhouse.

A lot of people get tunnel vision and don't try to secure a win via starving jungle farm, aegis, etc.

Or just... Hitting the buildings. I can't even tell you how many games I have lost or almost lost because I was the only one hitting the buildings when we had the chance to. I've been guilty of it on a few occasions, but I'm much better about it lately.

Hitting the buildings wins the games, not the heroes.

1. As a solo pub player you only have a 1 in 5 chance of getting the Aegis
2. The dedicated carry/jungler can get far more gold afk farming than the 2-3 minutes it takes for a pub lineup to rosh and the 2-3 minutes it takes to get everyone in the area and to decide it's safe to go in, then the pre-mature bailout when they get low hp or spaz out
3. The aforementioned carry/jungler has no intention of going high ground in the next 8-11 minutes (+ aforementioned 4-6 minutes), furthermore that carry/jungler has no intention of dying . . . ever. Aegis = useless item since I will never die.
4. The support has not dewarded the area around the pit
5. Smokes in pubs are nonexistant
6. Teams don't itemize or draft for Roshing
7. The champion best suited for the Aegis is 6 slotted and will not compromise on letting that value Poor Man's Shield or Magic Stick be wasted by leaving it on the ground
8. The average trench scrub cannot micro the courier and attack Rosh at the same time to pick up that 6 slot item to swap out
9. There is a very high probability that being off the map for 4-6 minutes will make it very obvious that you are Roshing
10. Losing Rosh is 1000% worse than getting the Aegis since their carry is not completely retarded, so the best case scenario is they never Rosh because we would never be able to contest it
11. Trench pubs have almost never Roshed as a team so they have no clue about Rosh's stomp when 3+ are in melee range, his spell block, instant illusion destruction, feast doesn't work, etc.
13. Rosh is only for Ursa/Lycan solo - and only after they have Vlads.
14. Unless the Aegis holder is an invisible hero or has a Shadowblade/Silver Edge they will just get picked off solo farming and the whole ordeal is a waste of time
15. Nobody knows the Rosh respawns in 8-11 minutes nor has anyone taken the Rosh timer
16. The other team has a dedicated anti-Rosh hero like Bloodseeker or Zeus
17. A support getting an early Medallion or Mek is almost zero
18. Getting team-wiped with Aegis causes a massive morale downshift and there is almost zero chance anyone has buyback with Aegis or can tp/bots back into a teamfight. Conversely everyone who does not need bots has already purchased bots.
