The problem is only 2 teams can play on the stage at the same time
The more teams that go - the more people you have doing nothing.
They already cut one Major from the season so I assume that should save Valve money in terms of hosting everyone for a few extra days + renting the venue.
And I think it would be better for the scene if there was more teams going.
I know Valve isn't running a charity but I'm sure they're not hurting either.

Had two games where my dual safe lane (I was off or jungle or something) lost to a solo Necro who went on to single-handedly make every fight impossible for us with a sub 13 min Mek. Awful, awful stuff.

And she has a Solid set of skills with her W and duel.
Sure, but she had those spells before and wasn't picked. I just found it weird that even without a big patch there are still some changes in the heroes being picked. Though this may also be because it's still qualifiers

there's been an incredible amount of positive previews coming out these last 2-3 weeks
it's kinda amazing how the reception went from "this game is going to bomb" to "going to buy this game day 1"

Playing LC is like my favorite thing ever.
In my lower MMR brackets people just panic when they see her.
Doesn't help that they ignore the jungle for the most part so you go safelane, farm up, then just take the jungle in between duels until you're 3-4 levels ahead of everyone else and just end the game before 40 minutes otherwise you're boned.
