Big fan of "Chronic", and "2001" was solid was well. Haven't listened to "Detox" yet so may give it a thourough listen before this one hits. Very rare I look forward to rap albums these days!

I'm guessing Eminem, DJ Quik, and Pharrell for starters.
Only one Em song. More willing to give this a shot now.
I don't know who some of these people even are though lol.
Quik ghost producing is impossible. AFAIK they only ever co-produced one track: Put It On Me
Not as good as ye's worst.Detox is amazing, but a bit of a let down if I'm honest.
You'd think the soundtrack would just be existing NWA tracks.
Likwit Crew!!Xzibit and Cold 187um, even.
Above the Law representation!

I don't understand how he can put something like this out in time for a deadline but it takes him 15 years to make detox.

Yeah it is dead. He said this is his 'grand finale', so after this - no more. No, Detox is never coming out.
Addictive was 100% produced by Quik for Aftermath and is one of the only times he ever used a sample (and Aftermath got sued for it ironically).
Quik produced on the album. Lord Finesse also produced tracks.
But I don't get the Kendrick hate. Can someone help me understand that?
I will say this about Dre: Rakim's Dre-produced track, After You Die, was better than the entirity of The Seventh Seal. I have little hope for Rakim's next album. >_>
Reading the features, is Xzibit the only Dre protege that didn't become a superstar? Kind of sad. Pimp my Rides was his crowning achievement in pop culture.

don't worry, he'll just yell over every track.
I'd say his restless album singles got him the most mainstream attention before pimp my ride.Reading the features, is Xzibit the only Dre protege that didn't become a superstar? Kind of sad. Pimp my Rides was his crowning achievement in pop culture.
Edit: looking at actual album sales, he was still very successful, just not Snoop, Eminem, 50, Kendrick successful
It's 2015 and I'm hyped for a Dre + Xzibit track.
Since when is Xzibit a "Dre protege?"
Exactly
why do you say that?
Looks like you were right. August 7 it is.
