Dr. Pepper maintains its spot as the #2 soda in America.

I don't know if my body has been conditioned by years of Coke products but Pepsi cramps my gut up when nothing else does. I'll have a lemonade if that's the cola in a restaurant.

Literally whenever I order Coke and they ask if Pepsi is ok, I immediately ask if they have Dr Pepper, which 99% of the time they do.

I'm fine with all of them, but my preference falls in line with those stats: Coke > DP > Sprite > Pepsi. I generally go for the "zero" versions these days.

The movie theater close to me is a Pepsi place. I don't hesitate on a big bucket of Pepsi Zero when it's time for a movie.

#1 in my heart (and my cooch)

I was visiting my he had a friend who was a ww2 paratrooper he was 95 at the time. We all had Dr Pepper and he tried his first one that night. He said "I should have tried this a lot sooner". Had only ever drank coke.

Dr. Pepper tastes like medicine.

Pepsi for me even though most places have coke brand. I just pick sprite or raspberry iced tea

I wish the Cherry Vanilla version was more available still outside of freestyle fountains. Sunday breakfast, every Sunday... Whataburger Chorizo Taquito and Dr Pepper.

If I drink any kind of soda I usually go for sprite. The lack of food coloring is a false sense of security I guess. I could never stand Dr. Pepper, tastes like cold medicine

Soda's a rare treat for me now, though when I do: Dr Pep is my number two, Cream Soda number three, but this'll always be my number one:

Interesting vid on making Dr. Pepper (its ingredients are quite complex and the exact list/methods are kinda secret in the same way KFC's are):

Dr pepper IS medicine. It's DOCTOR pepper...duh!

And I think it's got prune juice in it or something.

Now we can talk about flaming Dr. Peppers, the elaborate bar ritual being banned in Texas years ago :(

That's impressive.
I haven't seen anyone in Australia drink one for probably 20 years. It's still available so I assume some people must.

I can only drink Dr Pepper in small doses... it's nice for 1 can every few weeks or so, but it quickly becomes a bit much.
Coke I could drink whenever. It's still a bit too sweet at large doeses, but it just tastes good while not being overwhelming.
I don't think Dr Pepper has a chance to actually overtake Coke, its taste isn't as mass compatible as Coke.

and Pepsi... Pepsi is just weird to me. Some people claim they can't taste the difference between Coke and Pepsi, which is wild, as I really don't like Pepsi and could instantly tell it apart, even by smell alone I bet.

but how the hell is Sprite at #3? does Sprite taste vastly different in the US than in Europe? because, like... how?

but hey, maybe Dr Pepper has to bring back Tay Zonday to gain some percentages from coke?

this was among the first "internet personalities" to get some big commercial deal I think

I don't know why I like it, but it hits the spot better than coke. I try to stay away from soda because it's fucking brimming with sugar. When it gets hot and maybe ai don't have immediate access to water and that's available? Sure. Why not?

Chasing a mouthful of lightly salted potato chips with a shot of sprite/7-up is addicting

Coke zero is my favorite, though I really want to stop drinking soda, even if it's sugar free. It's so hard

I remember drinking Dr. Pepper at a park in 1994 and wondering how this wasn't the most popular pop/soda

Glad our timeline is correcting itself

Best Dr. Pepper variant? I'm partial to cherry dr pepper but I know they release some wild stuff every once in a while.

I rarely drink soda anymore.

Coke is king though. Dr Pepper is fine, but I'd take a Mountain Dew Code Red (Baja Blast is dog shit) over it or even RC Cola. These are also delicious.
