It's doing fantastic numbers at the moment. At the top of the bestsellers' list ahead of the week-end surge.

The previous record was held by FighterZ

I didn't get the game yet because I have too much in my backlog, but it's near the top of the list once I got through a few of the ones I'm currently playing.

Yeah the hype for Dragon Ball is insane. Excited to see how that and SH2 perform over the weekend.

Nice, the game seem pretty solid. I'll probably pick it up down the line.

Nostalgia + popular IP rarely fails when the quality of the product is at least decent.

It’s an unbelievably fun game out of the box with a ton of content to sink your teeth into. And, if you’re a Dragon Ball fan, there’s a LOT of great stuff in it that you’ll appreciate and that’ll put a stupid grin on your face. Definitely a return to form for the Budokai-style of gameplay.

How chunky is the SP portion?

Don't buy it for SP if thats what youre after, the alternate paths are kinda cool but there isnt much effort put int it - most cutscenes are still images or you'll have a short scene play with freeze frames in-between.

It's still fun though dont get me wrong but the online mode and features is where the real fun is
Thanks. No interest in MP so I will pass on it.

Damn, the multiplayer in those games is insanely fun too. Easy for most casual gamers to get into and not full of tourney assholes like Tekken or SF.

It's just not my thing. I'll play a MP game for 2 hours and then never touch it again. The last MP game I was actually invested in was SOCOM 2 which was 100 years ago.

Not super chunky, but the what-if scenarios do have a lot of paths they can go down, and some of them go pretty far. If you like getting super nerdy and seeing how one action could affect an outcome, or how a different character would do something, then they’re a lot of fun. Honestly, most of my time has been spent in the custom scenarios, and online matches.
