People around the world can feel both babidi and or goku ssj3 so either way he must have felt it, and seen Goku. As for distance.... He is shown putside in the last cameo so dunno how he wluld be in a cave during the disaster

Chances are.... 17 got killed by the genocide attack. If he can't sense ki, he could not feel the attack coming and was just killed. After all im his fight with piccolo he just lets himself be surrounded by super slow ki attacks so why would he feel Buu s attack? If he was ignored for the attack due tomhis androidhood, then hw just didn't give a fuck before which is p pathetic, cause, again, mr satan was brave enough to actually help, and 17 was just chickenshit

Makes sense it would be flat if a main method to win are ring outs. Easier for spectators to see that. Just like the regular tournaments earth has.

Different environments would be a good way to separate the fighters. So far that seems unlikely with the completely flat arena, but it makes me wonder how they'd get away with avoiding group shots in something like that. It seems like all the time they'd be forced to draw a bunch of background characters.
Maybe the arena can magically transform during battle, resulting in split environments, which would solve that issue.
More like Freeza resurrects and kills everyone since they're all much weaker than his new form.
I still wish that the tournament was actually about survival. Like, dump the characters in an abandoned city for a week and have them seek out and defeat each other.

Just because 17 knows about the fight with Buu thanks to Babidi, doesn't mean he can tell where the fight is. Everyone who is picturing the fight doesn't automatically know where the fight is, and correct me if I'm wrong, but most of the fight is in the sky, so there's nothing for 17 to look at and clearly tell that's where the fight's being held at. He would still need to sense Goku's energy, or Buu's to pinpoint where they are and how far away he is from them.
