personally i watched it in french when i was little, while it was more or less good, i also grew up with the japanese one because in the french dub, a lot of the japanese screams were still there, And i ended liking the japanese dub even more! Masako is amazing
There's also the games released at the time (snes and ps1) had japanese in them too!

As for DB Super, we can clearly hear that's she way older than back in the day, her voice has less impact, it's not as powerfull! Also the fight scenes back in dbz had far less grunting, and it was better that way, regardless of your liking of the dub or not

Say what you will about Faulconer, the Vegeta bell theme coming in really made that scene.

It works as a villains theme, and then a vainglorious theme, and then; simply glorious. the OG soundtrack is just really lacking character, no one has specific themes.

Also since.no one mentioned it, Im concerned about dub Champa. I reminded myself thats a pretty mute scene in the sub as well, but I really hope that guy can pull off Champa's fits. They make the character.

Is it weird i prefer Xenoverse Champa than his appearance in super dub so far though it's likely it's fake out to make him more sinister than he actually is.

Tonally it seemed right. Didn't seem appropriate to have a whiny Champa when we're suppose to take him seriously. Around the time of the tournament is when he should start showing more of that whiny side.

Having a whiny Champa during a scene like that would piss people off more. Vados carried him anyway.
 
It does make me wish we can skip the frieza arc and go straight to his arc as we will get a better impression (also a better arc) but oh well
 
One Japanese voice I've grown a liking for after watching the sub is Vegeta's.
Masako's VA took awhile for me to like, but I feel like Vegeta's I've liked from the start.

Can understand why people would be totally weirded out by Masako but man, she belts out those screams from the depths of hell like no one else can. Sean Schemmel's roaring may be metal as fuck, but Masako is straight up RAGING NANNY. Super Saiyan Goku vs Frieza just doesn't feel the same outside of Japanese VA for me. :(

But also, it seems like it comes more naturally to her? I struggle to listen to Sean yelling not because it's bad, but I heard he passed out from doing it so hard. Genuinely worry and wince hearing him because maybe he has to push harder than Masako.

One thing I've noticed recently is Daisuki is a lot better than Crunchyroll. Ads are shorter, which is a huge pro.

LOL! At the title. It's all good though. =D It just cements how much of a badass 17 is. He is one of the few fighters who can get tremendous gains by training ALL BY HIMSELF if you look at it this way. I ain't even mad. *sunglasses*
