I'm guessing it's a case of lost in translation.
Don't think it meant a literal explosive warrior or an explosive as in OP warrior. I'd however like a new character introduction though, or maybe they're just referring to limit breaker Goku who goes from base to his new form again.

Cell is terrible but it's surprising to me they'd bring a character like 17 back before Cell who's obviously more popular. It would clash with Freeza's return though since they'd likely both return the same way.
17 isn't evil and he's not dead. Kind of easy to write him back in once they remembered he existed.
It takes way less effort to bring 17 than cell and there's little in universe to bring him back when Frieza is more useful and Cells power isn't anything special anymore
Plus he's not very popular in Japan compared to the west last I heard
Now if only they remembered he existed again.
I mean, Cell has a pretty personal history with some of the protags as well.
Cell coming back would introduce some pretty interesting power creep though since Cell should be able to access Frieza's Gold Form as well
I'm sure Heroes will bring out SSB Cell or Golden Cell eventually lol
And idk, I guess I could see him coming back. He just feels like another Freeza to me. I wouldn't be surprised if they started mining more Red Ribbon stuff in Super though
Considering they're treating 80% of the cast the same way (and that includes Frieza too, let's not act like it changed because he just got his episode) I'd hardly say that.
I just hope to god it's all set ups for those characters. Let Goku and Vegeta get all the screentime then lose and move on.
Not gonna happen nobody is gonna do shit. That's like Gohan being so underwhelming so far, your logical mind wants to believe it's a setup to have him unleashed later on, but with those writers you NEVER KNOW.

That's my take on it and the fact he's a pain to draw for the animators.
There's really not much you can do with him when both Vegeta and Freeza are around since he was basically a combined version of them personality wise.

Would be nice, but I wouldn't expect it. It looks like the games are the ones that are doing the most to explore the other settings/plot points in the series. What with Online/Heroes/Xenoverse doing more with the Demon World, and now FighterZ revisiting the Red Ribbon stuff...
Guess we'll see but that person a page back who said they've really squandered the U7 cast so far isn't wrong. Freeza didn't really do anything until 108...17 and 18 started off strong but they've done nothing since and Piccolo has barely shown up. Krillin was wasted after two episodes, Tenshinhan went out like a punk, etc. It's really messy.
If this arc is lasting well into next year, which seems likely, we can only hope for some decent payoff.
That wiki has a ton of misinformation.

I just checked, they don't call it that.
Since we're supposed to be in the climax I can't see the tournament going into next year, I think it ending on 120 or 121 at the end of the year would work and would give them plenty of time to wrap things up and we'd hopefully get plenty of stuff with Gohan, Piccolo, Freeza, 17 and 18 in November and December.
I still want to know if the tournament is the endgame of the arc or not though.
I really can't see it ending at 120.
Krillin wasnt wasted just because he got knocked out early and they were obviously building up Frieza which is why he made big moves until recently.
The only character squandered is Tien.
Taiyoken x100 was certainly wasted.
No different than the Evil Containment Wave in the King Piccolo Saga. And were talking about characters, not techniques.

A 12-13 episode climax is really long, so it sounds about right to me.
After the spoilers i'm really really curious how long this arc has left. Is Jiren out of the picture then? Is he just resting like Goku? And if he's not I feel like we might get this wrapped up in December. Wouldn't suprise me though if it ends with Universe 6 vs 7 like I thought might happen
