FFXVI is the only one I'm legitimately excited for.

I hope XB has more F Cup summons and guest artists contributing. That was probably the most fun aspect of the 2nd game for me was just the art style variety and basic exploration. The battles got tedious after several hours.

Dragon Quest XII will probably put me to sleep. Maybe they'll take some risks on this one, but I doubt it. I'm sure all 3 will be pretty good though.
 
XBC 3, although overall DQ 11 was better than XBC 2, XB is my jam, and what everything it's building up to I am here for the ending of this trilogy.
 
XC 3, no doubt. It feels like it will be the culmination of every Xeno game released up until this point.

Xenogears - Xenosaga - XC1 - XCX - and XC2, all in one nice, scintillating package.

So far I have see absolutely nothing on DQXII and don't think it's coming out anytime soon, meanwhile we seen proper trailer of XC3 and it coming out relatively soon.

My answer is Xenoblade 3, and I LOVED the first two games.

DQ12 is probably like years away.

I guess Xenoblade. Though I haven't been a fan since Chronicles.

DQXI was kinda bleh.
 
I wasn't much of a fan of Dragon Quest XI. I know it's good, bit it just didn't clicked with me (thanks english VA).

So, probably I would go with Xenoblade, because I actually liked Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gameplay.
 
IF DQ 11 is anything to go buy it might be better to wait for the definitive edition of DQ 12 which will come way after XBC3 anyway. :messenger_winking_tongue:

Xenoblade (especially 2) are the best games I have ever played, so I'm far more hyped about that. It also helps that we know literally nothing about DQXII
 
I'm old schooler - so even though I will reserve my opinion, but I would probably be more into DQ XII.

But if they do change so drastically that it becomes unrecognizable.. then my opinion may change.
 
I'm going to go with dragon quest for this one. I just like the dragon quest series because I find the world and its characters charming.
 
DQ XII if it manages to impress me as much as XI did.

I just haven't gotten into the Xeno games, so I would still need to play 1 and 2 before hopping into 3.

After that I'll say DQ:XII It's already confirmed to be made using Unreal Engine 5. Xenoblade combat always looked like it had no impact to me, like an mmo.
 
For me , it is Star Ocean 6 . We barely know about Dragon quest XII . Xenoblade 3 is too obvious at this point . SO6 is more interesting because it will be break point of this series , nobody know what Tri Ace will cook up this time to make series relevant again, will they choose a dumb down path like Arise to appeal to braindead player or they will work out somehow their complicated gameplay

Xenoblade 3.

Though I love both series. Xenoblade 2 really tugged at the heartstrings when it came to the characters. By the end I really cared about them. I loved everything about that game.
 
Dragon Quest is guaranteed to range from very good to masterpiece due to the franchise's impeccable track record. Xenoblade not so much, as X was just ok and 2 was a massive disappointment.

So Dragon Quest XII obviously.

Not saying I don't wanna play them, but when it comes to excitement and hype Xenoblade, smt, persona and even YS are priority. I enjoyed the visuals and the stories but the gameplay and half assed open areas of tales and dq are a letdown.
 
I love the Xeno games but man I really really hate the xenoblade chronicles battle system.
It's by far the worst.
Loved dragon quest xi and I have super high hopes for xii

Played (and loved) it last year. Played twice to get everything I missed on the first playthrough. Saving Torna until the hype builds up a few months before XC3 release :messenger_savoring:
 
Xenoblade 1 wasn't that good and Xenoblade 2 was (by all accounts) absolutely terrible. No idea why anyone would extend the benefit of the doubt to Xenoblade 3. Clearly this isn't the team that made Xenogears and Xenosaga anymore

I just hope Square Enix learned from the fiasco that was Final Fantasy XV. It had promise, but they butchered the pacing, character development, and the layout of the story. If they fix these things I will pick up Final Fantasy XVI. And I fully expect them to. I mean, they can't screw up twice in a row... right?
 
I like Xenoblade more than Dragon Quest, but that's like asking if I prefer New York Strip to King Crab; it depends on the day and the brandy.
 
No doubt it's DQ. Xeno is terribly overrated. Combat in XC2 was some of the dullest and most tedious shit I've encountered, and playing the XC remaster kinda tore down what I remembered to be a great game.

I'm no longer interested in Xeno.
