Seems like they are adding a new" party member for the second game, that's cool. It also seems to be a redesign, might be a test to see how whoever is going to replace Toriyama is able to do so or not.

I'd like to try those but after what they did with III I don't see myself giving them any money. Maybe if someone lends me the game or something lol.

Assuming they keep these true to the original, both of these games have pre-made characters. So no "Body Type" concerns.

Well, Dragon Quest day is in May. So I guess we'll get a release date then. And maybe also finally the first look at Dragon Quest XII since Switch 2 will have had a proper blow out by then (and I firmly believe that there's some kind of marketing deal going on with Square / Armor Project and Nintendo).

DQ3 recent remake was wonderful. It sold through the roof too. Happy that the complainers proved to be completely irrelevant and that we'll get more Dragon Quest remakes. Glad to see Dragon Quest is thriving again and that they are treating the games with care.

This is day 1 for me. Hopefully we get some news on DQ12 by the end of the year or at be even next week. Would like to see the SNES games redone in style similar to this for Switch 2 eventually also. Been playing DQ6 on iOS lately and it's a great port but still not quite ideal on the touch screen.

I know, but isn't that basically the main plot twist in DQ3? It falls completely flat if you don't play 1 and 2 first. Fans who have already played them all probably won't care, but anyone who hasn't and starts with 3 is going to miss the significance.

Honestly, so much love was put into these remakes that they could do the same with many of those older 2D RPGs and it would be a good match.

So, the girl is apparently the princess of Cannock. And Yuji Horii once said in an interview that it was planned for her to have a much bigger role, but they needed to cut this in order to be able to fit the game in the cartridge.
