Drift Racing Game DRIFTCE Releases On Consoles This Spring

DRIFTCE, a drift-focused simulation game from the creators of DRIFT 21 and Gear Shift, is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One this spring, publisher 505 Games and developer ECC Games have announced.
DRIFTCE is being marketed as a drifting game, but it can also be considered as a spinoff of the studio's popular automotive mechanic IP, Car Mechanic Simulator, where players start in a garage and build their car from scratch then hit the racetracks. The game offers a wide range of customization options with between 1,800 and 1,900 interchangeable components such as engines, suspensions, and exhausts. Needless to say, the performance of the car can be greatly impacted by the choice of components and the player's driving style.
The journey begins when you click on a stock car, which gives you access to everything you need to modify cars and meet the demands of motorsports. The process involves making major changes to the car, including weight reduction and the installation of a roll cage (specially designed car frame). Players are then tasked with choosing the engine and other components, along with some important road safety tips and visual upgrades in the paint booth.
For those new to car tuning, the Dyno Module helper is basically what you would have if your car had its own dedicated AI assistant. It guides players through the process of tuning their cars, suggesting essential car parts to encourage players to fine-tune their cars for better performance. Furthermore, It also highlights various tuning stages and challenges that may be tied to specific tuning requirements, such as Time Attack, Solo Run, or Gymkhanas (speed pattern racing).
There are seven single-player modes in the game, including the three mentioned above, as well as Career, Quick Race, Sandbox, and Free Ride. As for competitive gamers, the multiplayer modes will include a Free Ride mode in addition to the Free For All, Sprint, Laps and Tandems events. As for the cars, there will be 12 famous car licenses, including the Toyota AE86, Mazda MX5 and BMW E46 M3, in addition to a dozen tracks, including familiar ones from Drift 21. Moreover, DRIFTCE will feature steering wheel support for Fanatect, Thrustmaster and Logitech.
