It's as I suspected really. There's a lot of tracks with mountains and trees, but not much else. I was hoping for some city tracks, and a bit more variety in general really.

Yeah, you couldn't tell one track from another regardless of which country they were in. How awful.
 
Apologies if its already been answered a million times but did anyone manage to record the stream before the twitch account got closed?

I'm already 100% sold on the game I just need something to tide me over until launch day ;)

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. The "how awful" at the end kind of hints at it being sarcastic.

It has nothing to do with whether you can tell which country you are in anyway, it is simply that a lot of the tracks consist of mountains and trees. I would just like to see more varied locations. Who the hell wouldn't like to see a city track with that engine? It would look amazing.

I kind of have a feeling though that a city track would be complicated and quite difficult to do with that engine. A lot of glass would mean reflections fucking everywhere, for instance.

Still, I would just like to see more tracks that are vastly different from one another, that's all.
 
Does anyone know if on the tracks where there are piles of snow, if the snow reacts if you crash into it or if it is simply a solid object with painted on snow textures? I expect the latter, but am hoping for the former.

There is a specific thread for that though. I'm sure i seen it around on Gaf. I enjoy the Horizon 2 demo thread. Love reading the impressions from everyone and nary a mention of Driveclub over there. Yet in here its almost on every page and i'm sure you know what that leads to.
 
Simple as this... Forza Horizon 2 is doing nothing extraordinary and honestly could very well run on the 360, Driveclub on the other could never run on the PS3.

Oh please. Most tracks take place around mountainous regions. The roads are different, the shrubs and species of trees are obviously different, but they are still mountainous regions. A city track for instance I would define as 'vastly different'.

I would like to see some city tracks. okay?

Yea, I need this to be amazing. The indies have been great and outside of D3:RoS/TLoU:R/I:SS there hasn't been much else for me personally. DC looks like something I'd spend hours on.

You can want city tracks without citing the reason to be because the tracks look samey. Perhaps it's because I'm a walker but they all look completely different to me and have their own unique character.

So cool to see the VW Golf GTI in there. I'm driving a Golf Mk 7 in real life (the 150 HP model, not a GTI), it's a great car and I'm interested how accurately they modeled it, especially the interiors.

Maybe because while poorer resolution and bitrate hides textures and things like that, it certainly doesn't hide the rest of the stuff that make up the visual appeal, like atmosphere and lighting and AO and how everything blends together and makes it look so realistic.
