So was this uploaded somewhere or something?
Right, but I expected the kind of organization of information that the fans on GAF are well-known for curating. Thanks again for not just pouring gasoline onto the fire.Replays is an unknown, this much is true.
So is how the mobile app side will work, they have talked about the concept of that but nothing more.
Apart from that we know a damn lot about the game, comparative to what you find out about games prior to release. Most of this info comes from interviews at conferences, can be hard to keep a track of, is there a better method of dishing the info out - maybe. But the info is out there.
Wonderful, but you seemed to miss my point, which I refer to above. If a game deserves community or wants to build it, it first needs to be welcoming, not given to add fire needlessly, and to actually make an effort to provide information. That's something you obviously aren't interested in with your angry and, yes, defensive attitude. Thanks for trying, I guess. It's not being defensive, I'm just surprised by how much people expect to be spoon-fed on here.
A very basic google search 'drive club tracks & race types' will get a link to a Gaf-banned site which has all 55 track variations. Took me all of 30 seconds to do.
As someone said before, it seems some people have to justify their buyers remorse lol
Which happens every day on all fanbases in all categories across the internet, yes.

So how will the ps+ edition be availble right away?
One random thing I've begun to notice in Driveclub videos. If you go "off the track", and I use those words in quotes because off the track seems to be if your wheels leave the pavement for a half second, a countdown immediately pops on the screen warning you of disqualification. Seems super annoying and I've seen it happening on every video I've watched.
It's weird because the tracks are very closed off, so it doesn't seem possible you can really gain an advantage going that little bit you can off the track.
The sun on top of the mountain gives a nice contrast to the shade side.

Absolutely love this section of the track, best view to the start of a race ever!

Oh flip...

Man what the fuck is it with Driveclub threads
It happened to me while I was playing it at Gamescom and yes, it's super-annoying. It starts quite fast when off-track so I wasn't able to really explore in the places where it is not like a corridor.
You just say troll or wanna kick off of this thread to anyone who says anything bad about DC.
I love fanboyism.
I mentioned FH2 not for being the competence, but for being a good example of clean IQ that DC dont have.
I have said FH2 as I could have said any PC game with MSAA x8.
God, you are always ready to get on arms.
From PShare, so still some compression, but the image quality is fine.

To justify their console purchase? There is a reason why The Crew is barely mentioned in this thread and FH2 is.
which is shaping up to be one of the best looking games out there so far.

.
Wow, quit trying to justify your purchase.

I've heard of corridor shooters, first time I heard of corridor racers which basically equals to "it's not open world".
I know right! But I've not bought it, it's FREE! (not counting PS+ sub cost) lol
You're answering fanboyism with more fanboyism.

IQ looks pretty damn good to me. And these shots are from a less good looking older BETA build.
How would you describe it then? Either you have "hard" boundaries that bumps your car back on track or you have a 3-second-counter which brings you back on track.
Oh sorry, didn't read "no negativity allowed!".

Racing on a track? is this a new thing or what?
Yep. There no sign that says "no negativity allowed," but there is an expectation of "no stupidity allowed."Referring to a track based racing game as corridor centric, goes beyond the realm of negativity, and in to the realm of absurd, fanboy fuelled ridiculousness.
So you've played the full version of Forza horizon 2 and Driveclub?
If not f off please. Subjectively speaking you cant judge shit yet.

This GIF seems fitting.
Percy said:Also, "corridor racing" might just be the dumbest phrase I've read with regard to gaming since "Feel of 60fps".
I think they just wanted to know more about the game.![]()
That'll explain why the Call of Duty community has gotten as far as it has then, considering how the people playing those games are such a fellowship of primrose darlings, eager to help their fellow gamer settle in and feel welcome from the outset.
Other racing games "punish" you in the way that your car gets slower when you go off-track or you get another penalty and don't implement a timer that artificially sets you back on track.
If other people are fine with that, no problem. To me it felt weird and not "right".

How the f**k has this thread lived to 14 pages?!
OT: Whatever that is, Driveclub looks just the absolute nuts, and for me who has craved a good racer for a few years, this is ticking all my boxes. Evo are one of my favourite devs who always deliver gameplay of the highest order, add to that the visuals are just the best i've seen on the new machines, truly extraordinary. October is taking its sweet time to get here. I'd love it if just before launch Evo tell us "Guys, you know we said weather would be here before the end of the year? Well, how about it'll be ready on launch day?" I'd eat sh!t and die of eating sh!t.
While you are one to talk about this is quite funny, to me the Gamescom demo felt like this. Don't want to hear that? Or to read that? Well, I am sorry but people spread their opinions on the so called internet, preferrebly on forums.
Driveclub is designed around around being rapid, having an intense sense of speed, and aggressive racing and AI. I believe a 3 second timer seems pretty fair if the intention from a game design perspective is to keep the momentum constantly flowing. If you're off the track for more than 3 seconds, you're not doing it right.

This is the only problem I have with DC so far. That off the tracks timer pops up way to quick and for something as simple as touching the sides of the road.
There's really no reason for it. You can apparently turn off the timer popping up on screen, but will the game still be counting down to reset the car in the background?
Still FH talk? Kindergarten.
And lol at the people who argue that only open world is fun and the future... I'll just ask Sebastian Vettel and Ralf Schumacher if they are going for an open world in the Formula 1 / DTM 2015. I also heard that the
Nordschleife will be replaced soon because it's too boring and too sterile.
And preferrably about console exclusives because console wars.
Say what? How did I edit it and keep it from giving the "Last editited by ... at... " message? He edited his post lol
I think it's time mods do some cleaning
Corridor racing. What an embarrassing term to have thought up.
Yeah, isn't it awful that the developers put effort into designing racing tracks instead of just letting you drive anywhere?
In case you missed it and it's even in bold letters. I described it exactly as you described it, which inadvertently coined a new a term "corridor racing"
