Never been so excited for a game on a system I don't own lol I have it pre-ordered and can't wait to pick it up (MotorStorm Pacific Rift was so boss). I could get PS4 with it as well but don't want to hurt wife's feelings cause I know she has a PS4 for me as a gift (it's in her closet, I've seen it haha), not sure when I'll get it though lol

I've been in zero visibility fog before. You can't see. How do you drive? At 20mph. This game already has footage that's actually scared me before with the speed. The next generation of horror games for me is going to be VR + Zero visibility racing.

Driveclub is the most photorealistic driving game I've seen since gaming. The project cars stuff is awesome too and at 60fps. But hell if this isn't just jaw dropping every time.
Have they modeled the undercarriage suspension?
I have no idea how GT7 is going to trump this, but.. my body is ready.

Interesting that it seems to use a blur-based DoF instead of a more modern bokeh DoF. You'd think with all of the amazing graphic effects in the game, that one would have been a shoo-in.

Looking at the native gamersryde videos the anti-aliasing is very good, with a few exceptions which catch the eye: (these are 4x expansions of native captures)
Wires are a challenge, no doubt.
As for the car, the high contrast boundary between rear window and roof is perhaps because it is deemed to be "in focus" and not subject to any temporal blur or focus blur it appears to be entirely without anti-aliasing. It is the most constantly visible "jaggy" that some people are going to obsess over. That same pixel staircase is not elsewhere on the car body.
Anyway, the video looks fantastic! you can certainly find sparkling elsewhere in certain track-side elements at certain times, but its very very minor.

Going to preorder tonight... this is the most exciting game for me this year. My only gripe is that I don't have a wheel for it (just got a G27), which is almost a killer blow, but i'll play it with the controller like I always have.
The PS plus version (as long as its not an excessive download) will tide me over for a few days until the full retail version gets to my door.
I can't even imagine the graphical improvement Driveclub 2 is going to have... lets have it in Hong Kong with tropical typhoons, Nepal with heavy ice blizzards, Florida with crazy hurricanes. I want to see Africa as well.

I seriously cannot wait for this, and I'm not even into racing games. The graphics and the sole idea that this might be a PGR (the only racing series I've been able to enjoy these racent years) spiritual successor have me sold on DriveClub.

If you have access to play these on a good tv.. do it. Hard to explain.. its not just the larger screen.. the video quality has way more pop to it.

I came pretty close to pre-ordering the game tonight, in the store looking at its page and everything, but the prospect of the PS+ demo got me to decide against it. I probably would have pulled the trigger if that chunk of the game weren't going to be available to try out. I'm pretty much the worst possible consumer for them in this situation.

15 but I'm taking it slow.
It's gonna be hard to establish a set look for your club early on. Club design unlocks keep getting more varied and cooler.
I'm shooting for that retro, polygonal look of the wipeout decals for AG systems. But I'm a little limited right now so I'll just lay off the looks and keep racing.
The speed is incredible.
Never seen a normal non point to point track in this game before. I love the way you leave realistic marks through the grass when you drive through or over it. Nice detail.
I definitely want to play a new racing game on next gen, but seriously torn between Driveclub and Forza Horizon 2.
I like Driveclub because it definitely seems "next gen" to me and not hamstrung by being crossplatform. But, I also want Forza Horizon 2 because I loved the open world feel in the first game.
