AKA Driver: Parallel Lines. Info from 1UP:

The new game pushes reset on the whole franchise. Fans disappointed by the evolution of Tanner from smoldering misanthrope to Michael Madsen voiced...well...corpse may be heartened by Reflections' decision to completely drop the Tanner mythos, and keep the action contained to one city. Parallel Lines ("the reasons for the name will become apparent, but we're not saying now," Edmondson explains) is set in New York during the seventies, and the protagonist is no longer an increasingly complicated anti-hero...he's just some dude enigmatically called "The Kid" who rocks a luxuriant mullet, Aviators, and a cool leather jacket. "We chose New York because it's an exciting city," Edmondson tells us, dryly. "It was an interesting city in the seventies. Driver always had sort of a seventies feel about it, so that was a natural decision for us."

Looks like shit.

It does indeed. :lol It looks worse than Driv3r. :lol

Any chance of steering wheel support? I'd get the game just to rip around the city in the cars, if I could use the GT4 steering wheel. :D

I'll definitively buy it if they make the on foot stuff as fun as it is in GTA:SA, make the get in and out of a car a bit more flexible and dynamic, fix the behaviour that street lights are harder than a car going at 100km/h and remove some of the collision bugs found all around the streets (e.g. having a full crash by trying to shorten a turn using the sidewalk).

If it wasn't for these bugs Driv3r would be a damn fine game. I'm enjoying it actually (leaving for Nizza right now). What's wrong with me?

I thought the first Driver was pretty good back in the day. I think GTAIII borrowed a lot from it, and how it handled police chases too.

Plus that wakkachikka music was sweet.

The original Driver on PS is seriously one of the best PS games ever. Without a doubt. It's awesome.

Yeah, so what the hell happened? Driver 2 and 3 were not good and this new one looks like crap. I like original more than most GTAs. wtf.

God damnit. I'm not getting my hopes up for this one. like I did with the last one, if the on foot action is not improved. For fuck's sakes, it looks worse than Driv3r too. How can you go backwards? Ugh. I like the settign and all, it should bring out some badass cars, but the gameplay must be improved.

God that looks god awful.....make the hurting in my eyes stop!!

Maybe it really is coming out for the PSP. I swear this is one of the best PSP looking games out. Oh well after GTA:LCS screenshots. :lol

Driver 1 was the only one I played. I enjoyed it but it was frustrating as hell especially in the later levels. I really hated it in DRiver one that they made your character an undercover cop it seemed like they wee going for this badass approach and then copped out. I think that is what GTA nailed in GTA you are the badass no ifs and or buts.

Loved Driver 1 (especially the brutally unfair 'President's Run'), hated part 2 (should've saved it for next-gen systems of the time) and despised part 3 (they just did damn near EVERYTHING wrong). DrIVer is an appropriate name, because it's going to need an IV to raise it from the coma of suck.

Seriously though, what the hell were they thinking when they released Driver 3 like that?
