You know, I'm used to seeing DS vs. PSP stuff.. well, on every forum ever, but not so much in real life. Saw something interesting tonight though.
I was at EB with my girlfriend tonight, looking at the DS games, when I noticed the used DS game card box.. holder.. thing, was ripped open. I pointed it out to the guy who works there (for an idea of what kind of person he is: kind of looks like Jesus, very dirty, sounds whiny -- told me a month ago if I preorder Twilight Princess I'd get a realistic Wind Waker because it's "pretty much confirmed") and he was like "Well, looks like someone stole Spider-Man 2". I then said "Yeah, it sucks anyway." His response? "Probably wouldn't if it was on PSP."
Uh oh.
Just then, out of nowhere, a customer who just got to the front of the line said "You know Spider-Man 2 is on PSP right? And it still sucks?" "Yeah, but it's still better than the DS one, mainly because it's on PSP."
This obviously annoyed him, and the EB guy noticed this: "You should try out the PSP, I think you'll be surprised," to which the DS fan said "I would, but I don't have $300 to spend ona PSP and one of the games worth buying.. like, uh, You Got Served." "That's a movie." "That was the point."
The EB guy kind of giggled (which looked really creepy, I might add), and walked away to grab something. My girlfriend and I walked out of there very awkwardly and went into GameStop.
But yeah, I thought that was a pretty funny story. I never see that kind of stuff, but I guess DS/PSP people are more emotionally attached to their system than I thought, heh. Is this like, common for you guys? Because again, I never see stuff like this.
