I think these "pro" controllers are just a gimmick to make more money out of you. Wouldn't you be playing with keyboard/mouse if you were that "pro" and competitive?

More isn't necessarily better. Adding buttons and configurations and shit just complicate things. Will keep my standard, streamlined Dualsense.

And no, i highly doubt Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony is going to replace the ALPS analog module

In fact what makes the sticks drift are not the sticks themselves but the component under it, the one attached to the controller board, so removing the sticks like shown on the video won't fix the problem.

Im pretty sure it will fix the problem, thats literally the point of removing the analog module.

this is coming from a user that have remove the dual sense and personally applying temporarily fix on the drifting several times.

this video have explain why drifting happens. the issue is within the analog module.

Better battery likely would mean a bigger battery, and the DualSense is already heavy, plus these new parts.

Battery technology is not magic and has barely improved in getting on 20 years now. And yet people like you treat it as if it can be magically improved.

You can turn off the rumble and adaptive triggers to save power, as it's extras like that that cause the greater power drain.

It seems that the back button attachment for the PS4 controller was a surprising success for Sony. I have a feeling Sony took that information the wrong way and assumed everybody was fine with 2 back buttons...sigh

I don't think so. Both Elite controllers have them as well as the Battle Beaver Pro controllers although I think they are classified as buttons.

For those having issues with battery life, id highly recommend buying one of these docking stations. You can simply set on your controller on it after you're done. Keep it next to your couch if you are lazy. plugs into any AC wall socket.

The official PS one is pricey at around $30 but you can get a third party one for around $17-20.

Yeah, I have one like this and I don't really have to worry too much about battery life. I can switch if it really dies on my during a game — I am not playing 24/7 so that doesn't happen that often.

I had to google what that actually means and - HOLY SHIT - thanks for sharing this dude. I will never ever buy a premium priced controller that has no hall effect sensors now. Stick drift can go and eat a dick. If sony charges 200 euros upwards, they better deliver something that lasts more then 6 month. I'm already on my 3rd dualsense and that thing is a piece of trash, from a durability perspective.

i dont think there will be reduced latency and etc....

Since im fine with the dualsense, this pro version is an improvement for me since i have some issues on the drifting.
I never have any issue on the build quality of dualsense except the drifting.

However if you are looking for other improvement than drifting, this controller may not be for you i guess.

Exactly. AA are easy to replace and give customer options to use ANYTHING.
Xbox controllers last me 30hours and then "BAM AND SWAP BATTERIES, GO".
Dualsense lasts 6-8 hours and then charges for 2-3... and looses capacity over time... and sony is not selling replacement batteries

That's true. It's $70 and it's a fantastic controller. ironically even better on PC where you can take full advantage of the gyro. I always have one paired up to the PC and I've done hundreds of hours on it. All the cool effects aside, it's a really nice controller and it feels as expensive as it is. I have a hard time believing this is going to be worth twice the price.

If it's swollen and you need to take it out, it will not work wired.

Everything revolving around "player competition" in games is essentially a marketing gimmick if not an outright scam.

Of course Sony had to make an entire different (and overpriced) controller instead of simply making the ps4 back button attachment compatible with Dual Sense.

What about having quality sticks and battery already on your 70$ product, instead of selling "quality" at an even higher price point?

Its got nowt to do with competition for me, but it will make me a better player.

more in this case is better, more buttons simplifies things, now I don't need take my thumb off the aim stick to reload then re aquire my target then fire. I just need to press a button whilst tracking my target then fire when ready.... That's streamlined.

They can. Problem is they have to remove al the gimmicks which will affect compatibility. It is stupid that I have to use 2 Dualsense so I can swap between them because of the awful battery but I only charge Switch Pro once a month.
