Dualsense is a Scam

Another Dualsense with stick drift after a year of use. I have never seen anything like this and I've been playing games for almost 4 decades. This is my fourth controller and now I will have to buy a new one because it's very uncomfortable to play with this issue.

I want to ask you, how is the experience with the Xbox controller? Is it worth it?

I am thinking of getting one for pc and not buying Sony controllers ever again
Either one of these will be a much better choice for a PS5 controller than anything Sony makes.

Thanks for the tips. I definitely need to experiment a bit. One thing I have noticed while playing is that I push by accident sometimes the back buttons of the controller. I would like to deactivate that so I'll check how to do that as well.

Thanks everyone who recommended me this controller, its definitely a great choice

Back buttons do nothing by default. You have to map them to work. It takes some getting used to, but once you do, there's no going back to controller with no extra buttons at the back.

Man, this thread is really going in circles and I have to wonder why.

Gonzito specifically mentions the use of the Sony DS and its quality (or lack thereof) and people start suggesting various 3rd party joypads with varying degrees of prices...

Meanwhile, the best course of action is literally finding someone on ebay and just have his DSs fixed with HAL/TMR sticks and just be done with it.

It's both the most cost effective solution AND the most practical one since he enjoys the ergonomics of the DS.

I feel that at this point, it's just discussion for discussion's sake.

I've had several failed duelsenses, so I got the edge, I've had two sticks fail on that but you just swap in new ones.

Xbox I barely play, like at all, vs ps5 daily for years. Even so, when I got the xbox, I played the medium, and halo infinite and I got stick drift on one controller, bought the elite, and whilst I don't have stick drift, the A button is unresponsive like 30% of the time. Far less heavy use vs the PlayStation, overall the elite I find really rather shitty, only nice thing about it is the weight, which makes it feel premium…had to disable vibration as it was really awful.

Despite the issues, the duelsense and edge in particular is the best controller I've ever use. The sticks in all modern controllers just seem shit and are prone to failure. Just get the edge and a couple packs of spare sticks (before you need them, because you will need them and they're not always easy to get)
