Nintendo DS

Release date: Q2 2005

"Dust & Shadows" is a real-time game that mixes strategy with tactics.
This game revolves around the battlefield, so at the core itís a fighting game.
It combines ingredients from "Warcraft", "Advance Wars", and "Fire Emblem", along with original ideas.
The difference between this game and other games is that units are controlled in real-time and instantaneously without the need to select a particular unit or group of units (Up to 6 units are controlled by the player through an innovative system called "Direct Selection").

Genre-mix always gives me mixed feelings right from the start.

troops.
Third person and first person view available at any time !

haha, best name for a Game.

Hey that's cool. We need more strategy games. That and first person shooters will probably end up being the most popular genres on the DS (or at least they'll end up being the genre devs produce the most of)

It sounds like it'll be a game like Baldur's Gate or Warcraft 3 with just the heroes - control a small party in real time instead of waves of troops.

It sounds like a good idea - only it's by the guys who did Charlie's Angels, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
