Television: 'Allo 'Allo S2, another Farscape box, La Femme Nikita S2, Red Dwarf series 5 and 6 (which are still too damn expensive), Starsky and Hutch S3.

Only... The Incredibles for me...

I already have Star Trek: First Contact... I see no reason to pick up this new release... I hardly ever watch extras on DVD's anyways...

The Incredibles for me. I want Sword of Doom as well, but I might wait to pick that up since I just got a bunch of discs for my birthday that I need to go through. I kinda want to save up a bunch to buy with the next Deep Discount DVD sale too.

Is Clone Wars this week? I thought it didn't come out until 3/22?

Beats me. If it's 3/22 then they shipped it out REAL early, because it was on sale on Friday...

Incredibles 14.99 at circuit city. I haven't seen it yet, but I loved Iron Giant-- so i'm guessing this is a blind buy. Looks like a real nice set too.

Good week of releases

Sword of Doom looks great, but too expensive for my wallet. Stupid criterion :(

The incredibles

Man, Sword of Doom is incredibly tempting, but I'm still trying to save cash. Hopefully it'll be available for rental soon. Meanwhile, I need to pick up The Incredibles, but as I still need to pick up every other Pixar flick, I reckon that can wait a while longer. On the anime front, Five Star Stories is terrific stuff and well worth checking out if you have any interest in big eye cartoons and intricate giant robots. Meanwhile:

Cromartie High School is a wonderfully absurdist anime series about brutish high school thugs who never actually get into a fight. Instead they hum songs at each other, send in their jokes to local radio shows, wonder if their schoolmate Mechazawa-kun realizes he's a robot, gawk at Freddy Mercury as he rides a horse around campus, and generally revel in non-sequiter humor. Yeah, I may have to break down and pick up the box set this week.

I can't say I have a burning desire to own 'Allo 'Allo, but this should make for a terrific rental the next time I'm in the mood for wacky hijinx in Nazi occupied France.

Sword of Doom is mine. Its been to long since I've seen it. I remember seeing it as a little kid for the first time and being awed at how Nakadai looked like he was falling asleep with his sword in his hands and then seconds later 15 guys fall dead.

NOOOOOO!

I DID IT AGAIN walked out of the store with FULL SCREEN

She asked me if I wanted WIDE or FULL

I said WIDE why did she give me FULLSCREEN

okay someone please explain to me again the difference?

Only 21.99 @ Futureshop for the Red Flag Gaffers. You better buy this.

You also receive a free tin case while supplies last at Futureshop.

It's also 21.99 at Best Buy and includes a free bounce ball.

Grabbed up two copies of The Incredibles during lunch, one WS for me, one FS for family/friends to view/borrow (often preferring FS) who haven't yet realized that if there is a must-own movie on DVD, this is it.

And it was crazy at Circuit City when I picked them up, everyone there was apparently buying The Incredibles (often 2 copies) and rolling/throwing/juggling those little basketballs they were giving with it.

Excellent:

Another Incredible Day for 'The Incredibles'
17 March 2005 (StudioBriefing)

On their first day on the shelves, five million copies of Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles were snatched up by consumers, putting the movie "on track to be the best-selling DVD and video of 2005," Disney and Pixar said in a joint statement on Wednesday. Bob Chapek, president of Disney's Buena Vista Home Entertainment, said, "We are working with our duplication facilities to keep up with consumer demand across North America."
