Lets Hope Kush gets it right..after the tragedy that was ESPn was last year. The graphics look great as usual, and the way Pedro's curve ball comes in is impressive...

Only thing i didnt like was how bernie got up out of his stance to take a strike, someone in a low stance like that never does to take a strike.

Ummm, tragedy? ESPN was the best bball game last year if realistic baseball means anything to you.

THANK YOU! But unfortunately, to most it doesn't. My dream scenario is I get a better looking ESPN game with solid gameplay. And a MVP game without major glitches. If the Mario game isn't totally retarded that's just icing on the cake.

Wow. I got last year's version. 1st baseball game I've played since Tommy Lasorda on the Genesis. The game just didn't feel polished nor was it fun.

The fact that ESPN was slightly less of a tragedy than MVP does not change the fact that it was a tragedy.

I miss High Heat, even though it was ugly and riddled with bugs.

MVP was awesome aside from lefties not being able to hit homers, but my friend jacked them with Eric Chavez all day long on me...weird,I never could hit one :(

ESPN will probably be just as lame as there other titles this year :|

ESPN was very close to high Heat in the pure gameplay department. You could draw walks, get called third strikes, etc. in a REALISTIC MANNER. Pitch counts were realistic, hitting was BY FAR the best of the three games when using zone. The point is (if you haven't guessed) it is realistic. I wonder if you guys played the same game I did. And yes, it is fun too.

Yes, the graphics were bad, but the gameplay was miles better than both MVP and All Star.

Graphics look better than '04's. Hopefully they stick with the $19.99 price point. Gamespot has this marked for a 3/15/05 release, kinda jumping the gun there aren't they? I guess, ST will be open by then, why the hell not play some baseball? :)

He struck out looking. He wasn't taking a strike, you never take a strike with an 0'2 count. He was starting his swing but stopped, you see that happen in real baseball when the guy was expecting a breaking ball and just went down on a fastball sometimes, or when he's unable to pick the ball up and is just praying that the guy is throwing a ball or misses, a typical strategy used by lesser hitters when down 0-2, when many pitchers will throw a ball hoping for an easy K with no risk.

The swing presentation, graphics and animations and just general "baseball" presentation of the game were not impressive. But it played far and away the most realistic game of baseball probably ever created on console. Is that fun without the other things? Not as fun as it should have been. There's no reason you can't have both. MVP was riddled with bugs from bad lefty power to the franchise. Stealing and Base on Balls were suck too. Plus it just didn't have the sliders that ESPN does. There's a lot of room for improvement, but I don't see why we can't expect a really good sim with a pleasing package around the game. I realize that there's a lot of people so wowed by the pleasing covering of something like MVP, but a few of us still enjoy the sport so much we wouldn't mind a different offering with some realism.

IAWTP except that the last iteration of High Heat was better IMHO.

Fixed.

My only true gripe w/ the game was base running. Very unintuitive.
