Oh no, you're having to pay for a game you enjoyed to play content that requires itNo shit. The developers obviously purposely released the DLC after pulling it. So it forces millions of gamers to buy the base game and the dlc. It is scummy as hell. If I have the save file, I should be able to access the DLC. This is pure greed
I can tell you didn't waste any time lol
Tested Killer Attack on some dlc bosses with the new upgrades and amulet
Got up to 29k damage from the front
Should be able to do more if I had an extra Fable slot filled
I still think that Police Baton handle with Live Puppet Axe blade can beat the damage output of anything in the DLC. The Scythe and Katana weapons in the base game were also really versatile even if their damage output is less impressive. A lot of the DLC amulets and gear are not very specialized like base game equipment. The biggest game changer is the bow as it changes battle strategy from getting in for a hit to avoiding and whittling down a foe. NG+ only really adds more music. To get any benefits from P-Organ system you would really need to NG++. The best NG+ content I have ever seen is in Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins. It adds new missions, new jobs, new weapon customization, new buffs, new bosses, and even summons. On top of it SoP:FFO strategy changes from hit and run tactics to rushing enemies down and hitting them hard and fast while regaining MP used for a temporary state of invincibility.Every weapon in the xpak is better than any weapon in the main game. These new weapons have higher overall stat allocations(by this I mean the item score is higher the buffs that are ranked and scored and applied for balance have been given a couple of extra points on each of these weapons and they are intentionally overbalanced(even if only slightly in some cases) and outpace the normal weapons in most circumstances. Sure you can slap the crit dagger on the street sign and still fare well but some of the xpak weapons are insane. Xpak armor I've found has been superior to ng+ counterparts by a good amount. It's great honestly. Really good stuff. Lies of P also has the best new game + I've ever seen. By end of NG you are not really that strong. The power scaling actually gets BETTER after NG0. I've never played a game besides Elden Ring, Diablo 2-4, Nioh 2, WoW, BG3, or Destiny 2 where I'm 100 hours in and still getting major upgrades at every intended upgrade location.
How long did it take to defeat the dlc? That 16.31 represent the time?
Just dive in as everything about the DLC requires a slightly different approach. You can access the DLC once you fight your way back to the hotel a second time (receiving DLC access item) or once you have access to Chapter 5 in an NG+ run. The DLC stargazer is close to first stargazer in Chapter 5.Question.
If I haven't played since the game came out in 2023 and I'm a bit rusty, should I start a new game from the beginning and learn how to play again or should I just jump right into the DLC?
Question.

lol no that's my phone. I'd say around 20 hours? Maybe even longer, some bosses were major roadblocksHow long did it take to defeat the dlc? That 16.31 represent the time?

Yeah. Gator was rough but Lumacchio was insanely hard on release. That's the one I meant earlier in the thread, way harder than the final boss imo. I'm hearing some stuff got nerfed since then![]()
The giant gator and final boss took me about 10 tries each but it was pretty smooth sailing otherwise. One boss attempt to find their phase two gimmick and another to deal with it. I will admit that the optional carnival jester mini-boss kicked my ass almost as much as those two though.
Did you just go out of your way to parry stuff? The shield and shotgun arms with any hard hitting weapon made quick work of him for me. This was the case even before the patch.Yeah. Yeah, to the point I could almost nohit the first phase breaking his weapon consistently, but then phase two happens and its over in 10 seconds, very hard to read spins where like only his left hand has a hitbox, plus weapon broken in an instant with zero time to grind. I mean I made it eventually but to me the final boss was a cakewalk in comparison. I sort of minmaxed in technique so didn't play with heavy weapons, mostly talons, boss swords and my base game cheese fav bonecutter+booster glaiveDid you just go out of your way to parry stuff? Is scummy because they don't give it to you for free?! Just buy it if you want to play it. Is quite cheapNo shit. The developers obviously purposely released the DLC after pulling it.
