Agrees 100%. I'm a bit down on X360, but I really do hope it works out for them. Biggest thing is getting devs on board, and not just ports but games from the ground up that really show off the system in the first year. Not off to a good start so far :/

Judging by what the guys on B3D are saying, the R500 may not be a hell of a lot more powerful than 2 6800s in SLI*, which is apparently the current setup in the PS3 kit, so..that (even though it's unfinished) + (unfinished) cell + more ambitious developers could result in a believably better looking show.

I certainly think there is much scope for believable graphical difference there..I should hope so anyway.

I'm possibly being simplistic with my assumptions. At B3D, some think it's about 2x the shader power of the R420, so...at the same time, though, it is a new shading architecture. But the pros and cons of that may balance each other out (to some degree anyway).

I don't think NVidia should have much problem beating it, coming 6 months later.

All the MTV thing was meant to do was get the casuals awareness up in the target demographic. All the uninteresting specs are out, the system design is out there and at E3 they're going to push the games hard. Meanwhile Sony will wow everyone with their tech demos and renders but won't have the games to back them up.

Personally I think all we're going to get are tech demos. It's too early to be showing any real PS3 or Rev games at this point. They still have a year and a half to go. At best we'll get some CG cut scene of some game. Certainly no gameplay.

I don't see any problem with Square/Enix making games for Xbox, in fact thats pretty cool. I wouldn't call it a "betrayal" though. It would be pretty hard for Square not too let Sony know what it is doing. They will still make games for Sony, and it this point it would be incredibly stupid for them to not put their franchise games on a Sony system to get the most sales. Don't be expecting an announcement of Final Fantasy 13 (starring Jason Voorhees) on the Xbox 360. Sony wouldn't let it happen and Square would be batshit crazy to do something like that. Expect something more like a FF:crystal chronicles, tops, or more realistically a Mana game or new IP.

Relax. It's been shown time and time again that "winning" E3 doesn't amount to much in the grand scheme of things. Industry conferences, regardless of the industry, are about building excitement which may be focused around certain events at the show/conference itself but ultimately translates into general excitement when everyone returns to business as usual after the show.
