So, is stickofjoy one of those sites that thinks it's cool to be all "I'm a hardcore gamer and the Wii sucks"? I usually avoid reading the site but I glanced very quickly through their live blog and there seemed to be a number of snarky comments that simply aren't needed and of course makes a prime example of why gaming "journalism" is such a joke. I didn't notice the snarky comments in the MS blog yesterday.

Man they are keeping things tight because they have way more dev teams than what was shown here. You can tell by the emphsis that this was for the sound bites that it would get them and not the gamer press. It is like last year where they announced all their games some time after the conference. They will say that this was to get the message out to the expanded audience. I don't see what is so surprising with this and how people could of expected something else.

And what really sucks, is that every major media outlet will go ga-ga over Wii Music just like they did for WiiFit.

this is just stupid. WiiFit was megahyped because it truly brought something new to home consoles. WiiFit was and still is revolutionary.

WiiMusic as someone else said, is basically Rock Band for babies. For people who aren't even coordinated enough to play RB or GH on easy.

One is bringing a new concept to game consoles beyond pressing buttons to simulate shooting a gun.. the other is dumbing down a concept that was already dumbed down to appeal to an even wider audience.

Maybe, but I can't see my mom getting excited about Wii Music. Meanwhile, Nintendo just pissed all over their fans. I actually liked last years conference. At least Wii Fit was kinda interesting. This just sucks (except for the drumming lessons part which is kinda cool).

Not a single core game. Nintendo, where did you go?
