I would love to know how they're remastering Drake's Fortune. Visually it's so different from Among Thieves and Drakes Deception. I wonder if they're going to give it an upgrade to match 2 and 3 or just leave it.

There really isn't anything they could do with the cutscenes. They're all video and the facial animation is done by hand. It'd be too time consuming and expensive to go back and redo them at the level of U2 or U3.

Crash Bandicoot is happening, they are teasing it in one of Driveclub events

Crash ''Bandipur'' or is it Bandicoot?? Cmon, its real

LET ME DREAM DAMMIT

Crash Team Racing 2 - developed by Evolution

From the Bluepointgames website under Senior General Engineer

We are currently bringing a Sony classic to current game systems as well as teaming our technical expertise with an industry leading developer on a next-gen, blockbuster franchise.

I hope it is the Uncharted Collection

Sounds to me like:

We are currently bringing Crash Bandicoot to current game systems as well as teaming our technical expertise with Naughty Dog on next-gen to bring Uncharted franchise.

One can only dream

Did an insider suggest that Knack is getting a sequel? Someone said "I hope you liked Knack," or something. Given the Cerny factor, is that actually an oblique hint at Crash? Was Knack at all like Crash? This is probably highly dubious either way.

Did Knack sell really well? Most of the reactions I've come across indicate a middling game. Following this, it would kind of surprise me if a sequel was green lit. I haven't played it myself, though, so I can only speak to its apparent reputation.

It says "Sony Classic" and not "Activision Classic" :)

Let me dream god dammit, it's either that or Parappa.

They hinted at FF7 Remake and Knack comment was just a bet.

Knack was bundled quite bit, but it sold well I believe. Definitely enough for a sequel though, but I'm not sure Sony would fund it due to reviews, but word of mouth was somewhat postive by peop!e who ACTUALLY played it. Hopeing for a sequel to get announced and a Tokoyo Jungle sequel or atleast a remaster:)

Really? They are all about third parties this year.

I would say, Nintendo and Microsoft are equally interesting, with Microsoft focusing on first-party, and Nintendo still having some gems up their sleeves.

Besides 3rd party deals, Sony has bunch of exclusives this year!

Who would even work on a new Crash if the IP is in Sony's hands now. Naughty Dog isn't going to do it, they've moved on, and without the luster of a grade-A team developing the game, it would probably end up not meeting expectations.

Microsoft to release a lite version of Kinect that is only a mic.

The Xbox One redesign will have this bundled or even built into the front of it.

This will get people using Cortana.

I'd give it to Sanzaru Games, they did a damn good job with Sly Cooper.

It was really fun and had the DNA to be a great franchise, I felt. Definitely some issues, but for a launch title it was pretty decent. I hope to see a sequel that could take advantage of more development time, more experience with the platform, and a more forgiving release window.

I definitely think Activision doesn't have Crash license anymore (sold it). Question is, who does?

Microsoft bought it for billions of dollars and the game is 80% done by now.

Trust me, my source said MS would stop selling Xbox with Kinect, he is almost a psychic

Do I need to flag as sarcasm or people will make countless threads about it?

EDIT: Also, Rise of Tomb Raider teaser kinda sucks

Doesnt have to be a first party studio right?

Insomniac could make it. Or even Sanzaru

If Sony bought Crash back in 2013 they must be keeping it quiet until they have a game ready to show.

No point in declaring you have the IP and not have anything to show to get people excited.

I was hoping they would get Spyro as well. Even though he is in Skylanders I am not sure if he is prominent within the series. I hope Activision keep their rendition of Spyro and Sony redesigns him to differentiate between the two.

If Sony did buy them how would you want to the game to be made? Go back to the classic Crash games or something along the lines of Knack?

It will be hard to get him relevant again after all this time. I expect he will remain popular but won't get a modern game to do him justice like the sonic series.

WHERE ARE ALL THE AGENT RUMOURS??!!

I had stuff on Agent a year ago when I worked with someone who briefly worked on an earlier 'incarnation' of the project.

I meant to start a thread about it.

I forgot all about. I doubt anyone cares anymore.

*shrugs shoulders*

Well I would imagine a cross between a full 3D world like Ratchet and Clank but still with that 'route' a bit like in the new Super mario land 3D.

Mark Cerny was the Producer of the first 3 Crash Games...Maybe he could form a team to work on this project with some old naughty dog people or with other talented studios like Sumo Digital?

I really think there is something bigger between that new strong Partnership of Sony and Activision. Destiny and now even Call of Duty after all those years...Maybe they handled out something

Also this is that the co-creator Andy Gavin said in an interview about a Crash Reboot
"Crash needs a total reboot. There’s an opportunity to reset the history, and go back to his creation story and the original conflict with Cortex. In that context, you could reprise classic Crash 1 and 2’s settings and villains. It would make sense to use a more modern, free-roaming style. I would concentrate on Looney Tunes-esque animation and really addictive action. That’s what we did with the original Crash, and there’s no reason it couldn’t be done today. Given [Activision's] Crash games, people forget that he was once cool. [Naughty Dog's] Crash had a certain whimsical edge to him. Sure, it was goofy – but it wasn’t dumb."

Mark Cerny did Knack as a test if fans would love Crash and you failed.
Crash is never coming back and is your own fault.

This is it gentlemen, in practically 2 weeks E3 will be here.

We will either soar to the top,or fall all the way down to hell. As harsh and cruel as it is to our expectations, that is the game we play.

get hype

honestly i dont know what to expect from Sony, probably Project Horizon. this or some 3rd party surprise that will wow me. (Platinum Games Title?pls?)

For MS im curious to see what new 1st party titles they gonna announce. are we gonna get this generations "gear of war"? but mostly wanna see Scalebound.

But so far im most stoked about DOOM, bring me that carnage baby.

(im curious if Sony might apologize for USF4, or even 343 for MCC, could this happen?)

i never played knack. Is it that similiar to Crash or why the comparison?

Well. Is some kind similar. But Crash is more like an old Mario game in 3D. Knack is an adventure beat'em up, with some great mechanics and puzzles for a casual game, if you ask.

But, I think there was 3 main problems, this biggest one was the comparison to Crash.
It will never be. Different characters, personalities and gameplay... And Crash has nostalgia power. We know it's super effective.

There so, Knack lacks on replay value and some may think it doesn't have a connection with the play...

But see a walkthrough. Or a let's play. It's very fun.

The feeling inside my heart..........is unexplainable!!!!! I'm so happy to see another Neogaf member that recognizes the greatness of Knack!!

The game has issues as you said, but I felt like a mixture of Crash and Dark Souls(when played on hard mode).

I would admit though that Knack character model needs to have a slight redesign. His voice is perfect though :)

I'd like to see Crash sticking to the core gameplay that it had originally, as in the forward/backward scrolling levels, rather than some wonky Mario 64 type open world job.

The depth can come from things like a significant collectibles system, heavy emphasis on time trials and achievements, new game plus, robust co-op and maybe even a level builder.

If the game is easy to play hard to master with very tight, twitchy controls.. Bam, you've got yourself a retail game right there that doesn't need to be open world or massively multiplayer blah blah.

A colourful platformer that has Bloodborne "practice makes perfect" depth is what I want.

If Crash were to come back, I'd want it to be a more open design like the Banjo games. Honestly, though, I'd be happy if it was revived at all.
