When EA Sports College Football 25 releases in July one key platform will be missing, PC. According to reliable data miner billbil-kun, the first college football video game in 11 years will only be available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

In addition to no PC, the game won’t be available on last-gen Xbox One or PlayStation 4.

“College Football 25 will be available only on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S,” the report says. “It will therefore unfortunately not be available on PC, as the old games in the NCAA Football series were.”

Insider Gaming has learned that the plan from the start was for the game to be released on PC “at some point”. However, based on the state of the development of the first game, it appears to be slated for a future version of the game.

In addition to the reveal that the game won’t be on PC or last-gen systems, billbil-kun adds that the game will have three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s. The official cover of the game will be revealed on Thursday, May 16.

Billbil-kun describes the game’s cover as follows:

“[W]e can see in this cover from left to right the following players seen from the front, Quinn Ewers of Texas carrying an American football, Travis Hunter of Colorado and Donovan Edwards of Michigan. In addition, these players, all smiles, are in the center of a stadium empty of supporters.”

EA Sports has yet to confirm the platforms for EA Sports College Football 25. It’s other football franchise, Madden NFL, is available on PC and is par with the current-gen console versions.

You can always get the re-releases with an updated roster in a couple of years. EA being the good guy and saving PC players money.

Is FIFA working with someone on their edition of a football game? People said this will be the end of EA but it looks it’s better than ever.

I am picking this up day one and my expectations are pretty low. As long as they have the Ohio State Horseshoe in perfect detail with Brutus on the sidelines all with the fight song playing in the background, I’ll be super happy. I know that may be asking a lot, but I’m hoping they hit with the popular teams first. I can remember with the GameCube version that they had the big stadiums covered, but the smaller ones like Bowling Green State, were just generic.
Either way, I’m excited!

I want to be excited for this, I loved the old NCAA football games. But I just know deep down that this is going to be a reskinned Madden. I just feel it in my bones, it's the same game everyone has been hating on for years, but with new jerseys.

I so hope I'm wrong though. Man I miss these games.

Maybe. I hope not.

The old NCAA games were so much more innovative with gameplay and features than Madden. Something like online dynasty was amazing in NCAA, it would have been a barebones buggy shit show in Madden.

Hopefully they go back to making great NCAA games and trash NFL games.

That makes sense give all the licensed players in EACFB25. The NFL/Madden doesn’t have the licenses for those players.
Yeah it’s a bit hard to digest as that was a crucial part of the immersion for me with those two games. Hopefully they can rectify this and patch it in one day

Would be absolutely sick. You CAN export your Road to Glory player to Madden at least. But man. I’d have bought that MVP bundle that has both games deluxe editions if I could export draft classes.

I know, they were so much fun to play. But knowing EA and their sports game division, I know they will try to do this with as little budget and staff as possible, which means reusing current Madden code and animations for this game.

It's the worst thing they could possibly do, but I just don't see how that isn't what they are doing.

I’m gonna give them the benefit of the doubt from what I’ve been hearing from Ericrayweathers YouTube page. I trust him a lot more than I do others as I don’t feel he’s shilling for anyone and just keeping it as honest as possible.

But I’m 100% with you on that thought you have just in the back of my mind. Here’s hoping we’re wrong but reports so far have shown this might be what we’ve been waiting for
