Does this game have input lag or is that just me?
So is there really no way to pick a fighter and play a career in single player? =/
I think you can only choose between your created fighter or the unlockables Bruce Lee and Royce Gracie. I'm going through it now with Bruce Lee.
What was EA thinking =/
My favorite part of the TUF set is Dan Severn, with the NWA World title, still being there in the background.
Not every fighter has a submission from certain positions. You'll find you're able to do more with submission artists. Depends on who you're using.
Play on professional.
Also in career had a big fight against Travis Browne for the title match. His stats were 100/100/100 so I shat bricks. The 2 previous fights I got cheated on with cheap TKO's to the stomach. Went to the fight with Travis and TKO'd him in 13 seconds with a foot to the face lol.
hours of trying to get this to work and im about to quit
finally got the EA gameface website to work, made my character, etc
but now the game wont download my gameface
Game face sucks.
I uploaded my pics to the website and the online avatar looked exactly like me. I was psyched.
I import into the game and it looks nothing like me. Not at all.
Ended up looking like a pasty white dude.
You know-- no one would've been able to spam attacks on Dreamcast.
How did we go backwards? :-\ I'd love to be able to catch a limb if it's completely obvious what attack is coming. The parry isn't enough, because it isn't consistent and is useless against a speedier fighter.
Having more time with the game and the one thing EA nailed were the fighter stances. I love how distinct they are.
Fuck the random elements of this game.
I just lost two in a row from a single head punch/kick in the first minute of the first round.
I'm rocking this guy's head, he's barely doing anything to me and you're going to tell me one head kick that lands is an instant KO?
Come the fuck on, EA.
The frame rate is getting really bad for some reason, the first 15 fights or so were perfect but over time each one gets worse. This is in offline fights. You can see in the clip below.
Also the submission system is giving me a tumor, I followed the tutorial but it never seems to work. I can never weaken the opponent down enough they just get out of it in seconds.

Hendos weird slouch
Machidas karate with feints
Nick Diaz with hands down
Wands Muay Thai
Clay Guida caveman
Overeems bent down stance
Good job on that EA.
Also did EA remove fighters? I could have sworn I've seen Jake Shields and Brendan Schaub announced for the game.
Wow, Jon Jones really needs to learn how to keep his gloves closed. This is getting ridiculous.

More here.
I find myself hating the ground game in this game. I can never break out of it even after successful blocks. I can never counter the take down. I feel like I might as well just submit once I go down. (Career mode)
Apparently a roster update just went out, no one has found out what it is yet though.

hold up, you have an account here? man your reviews are awesome.
MY STOMACH
THE GUSTAFSON ONE
HOLY SHIT
Yep even in the damn menu's(one of my own pet peeves)Does this game have input lag or is that just me?
You guys still playing this? My friend talked enough crap to get me to buy this so I can kick his ass. Anyone have any info that would give me an upper hand? Never played a UFC game, but I am a fast learner and a beast at fighting games in general.
Attacking after a parry/slip will do more damage.
Can I build my guy to be mostly submissions and be annoying that way, or is balance always better?
Has anyone created a Gameface for UFC?
Yeah, that review basically confirms my fears for this game. Every fighter looks the same move set-wise, and it's hard to get your moves to flow; it's just too robotic. Maybe next time.
The submission system is pretty easy, you just can't mess up or you lose it. I don't even look at stamina or the health bars and can submit the computer every time on Pro difficulty.
Just hold the right stick in the colored direction of the gate. You'll eventually see a colored line on one of the few 4 corners. When you see this, you need to flick the left stick in that direction.
Where people are messing up is they forget about the right stick. They are separate commands. You need to keep paying attention to the colored gates and moving the right stick while being on the lookout for the colored line to show up and flick the left stick. If you miss any of the left stick flicks, the submission fails.
I recommend playing someone overpowered like Rousey and just take the CPU down and keep spamming submissions until you get a feel for it.
Never got it to work.
I have been able to load my gameface on UFC, but it looks nothing like me. I thought it would be similar to the gameface I created, but I have heard that isn't the case. The game creates the closest thing to it through the game's options.
Frankly if that is all of their time maybe they should keep it to themselves Walkins have framedropsI can't believe how rushed this game feels. That spent all of their time on presentation it seems.
Thanks bro!Good review by the way
Agreed. My hope is they really relook at the dinner plate sized UI and how it works as a whole as well as the GFX(Simply has to be improved). Additionally the lag in almost every aspect has to be fixed it is simply bad presentation for someone who is new to a game to load it up and find lag in the menu's themselves. That is like dressing up a hottie by slathering them in pigshit.Yeah, that review basically confirms my fears for this game.
