Dude, they are trying to put it together, so please spoiler tag that for those that don't want to know before it's up.
Sorry, didn't think about it.

Disappointing about Souls. Love the games, but at this point there's really nothing more can be said about their short history and Miyazaki's story that Vaati, GermanSpy and Co. haven't already covered.
I mean, Stop Skeletons From Fighting just did an excellent bio on Miyazaki a while ago.
Was really hoping for Persona. 😥
Oh God... That's such a good choice for a retro. I'd love that and I hope they can consider the series for one of their next retros.
Total uninterest in the new Patreon tiers. Making Damiani double down even further on Nintendo seems like a dreadful idea for his personal bias going forward and he's done a Zelda podcast like 4-5 times now anyway.
Don't really care about a movie podcast either. Especially if it's not really going to tackle most mainstream movies like I'd anticipate.
Eh.

The announcements so far have been lukewarm, Kyle and Ben keep saying to insist on telling the Allies what we want so they can better understand it and correct their course, however they went with a movie podcast and a Nintendo podcast, something I've never seen anybody request.
Not saying they aren't going to be good or that I'm displeased: in fact I look very much forward to both! Still they keep dancing around what people actually do ask them to do:
- Trailer Score (which hasn't been lowered to 40k or below 45k as far as we know)
- a Bosman show (which he said times and times again he won't do without a studio)
- Best Of videos (I think they haven't even aknowledged the ones done by our resident gaffer, and I really don't get why)
- Spoilercasts/Just played
- More Game Sleuth and Retros
WHATFor all those who didn't go to the event.
It was very strange. I don't mean that in a bad way.

They can make the studio look as casual as the garage. Personally I'm just hoping it fits two rows of seatings and a desk without them having to rearrange after every shoot. While I know that a studio will probably be better for them in producing content, man I'll still miss the cozy feeling of Brandon's garbage.

Nintendo is a brand name label, not a scientific specialisation.
Name change request: Pukka and HeinzNintendo is a brand name label, not a scientific specialisation.
One thing I'd wish they'd do is communicate more clearly what the 50k studio goal actually means especially now that Jones' garage is looking more like a studio every day.
Does this mean more group streams? Does this mean the return of a Bosman show? Top 10's? Does this mean it's easier for them to edit/put up shows? How immediate would they get the studio? Are they currently saving $ each month for a studio?
I'm an extremely happy day 1 Patreon of EZA, but none of the current stretch goals really do it for me (that's fine, other goals have made me very happy). This might be skeezy, but I wish there were a way to contribute to specific things that they need. For instance, if they needed a new camera, improved lighting, desks, editing stuff or something in that nature to make their lives easier, I'd be more willing to throw $20 towards that than $20 that would be seemingly split 9 different ways.
Damiani's Nintendo bias isn't so much that he's always positive about them but just that he just endlessly goes on about them to a fault. As others have said, the main podcast has felt like a Nintendo one for a lot of the past year anyway so I'm not sure where the mighty need is for one dedicated solely to them comes from. Will Damiani not feature as much on the normal podcast and Frame Trap because it would just be boring crossover? Will there even be enough Nintendo news every fortnight to care about?
Just feels like a poor use of resources and time and makes EZA look biased in one direction since I doubt the Podcast and Frame Trap are going to be relabelled as Sony, Microsoft or PC shows.
Funnily enough a PC show would make a lot more sense for instance as that stuff doesn't get covered as much.
I'm sure I've seen people in this thread ask for a movie podcast or at the least for someone like Huber to chat about the movies he's seen. And that's not counting the people potentially asking in other avenues like twitter. Also judging by the reaction to those announcements in this thread people do want to listen to or watch them. It's not like the reaction to the Story Time announcement which I seem to recall going down like a lead balloon. I call that a course correction.
They might not want to talk about other options like a potential Bosman show particularly if he's made it clear he doesn't want to do it without a studio. What do you want them to do then? Announce that as another tier beyond the studio tier?
I wish y'all could see it but the lighting was crap so I very much doubt any video of this will be good. I left my video camera in my car after seeing the patreon post but then another fan was allowed, even encouraged to tape.
Ian's the closest thing EZA has to a full-time film maker.Ok, you're 100% right on that, it's more of the Ian part of the announcement that made me pause. When you think about movie fans among the Allies you clearly think Huber. I'm sure that Ian is a film lover as well, it's just that he doesn't show it and he doesn't talk about it as much as Michael.

Seriously considering unsubscribing from this thread...

And that is why they should've announced this on Patreon and/or on the Thursday mega-stream. As of now, they launched a bomb on us (new tiers, shows), but they have explained nil and we can't ask about it in any way until Thursday.I feel some people are jumping the gun quite a bit judging stuff before it's even out. [...] I feel like people are already down on stuff before giving it a real chance like yeah [...] As for how it's all tiered yeah I think some reasonable stuff has been said/concerns shared. Maybe at this point we wait until some of them speak to us in more detail about it.
Let's be honest here: Nintendo just has the breadth to have it's own everything.
You probably can't accomplish the same for Sony.
As for Microsoft....hehehehehe...

What I want from the Damiani Nintendo podcast:
- Filmed, not just audio like Zelda Talk (which is audio only for obvious reasons).
- It's ok to have guests, but the panel should be mainly composed by Allies.
- Talk mostly about past Nintendo games or general themes and things revolving around Nintendo. Leave most of the news to the weekly podcast.
- More structured than Zelda Talk, with actual segments and fun things.
Edit-
lol @ you guys saying the podcast is too nintendo focused because they discussed the switch/NX rumors frequently
if we had scorpio rumors weekly they would be too microsoft focused?
Dude, he is more then a fan, he's actually done it: https://vimeo.com/ianhinckFilm maker and film fan are two different things though..

Film maker and film fan are two different things though. Anyway, didn't want to blow anything out of proportion, as I said I love Ian and I approve of a movie podcast, just didn't strike me as the first thing fans wanted

Just catching up with last night's event. This thread seems quite negative about what did/didn't happen. I assume we all have to wait until tomorrow's stream to fully clarify things?

The event itself was one thing, but there shouldn't have been a situation in the first place where things had to be clarified.
He literally went to film school.

Someone should go tell Ian that he's not actually a fan of movies, as determined by this thread.
please dear god do not do that
Well, money is involved so..."wallah".There isn't a need for clarification, fans are just being purposefully obtuse and impatient
