VALIS said:EB.com preorders are rock solid. The best. I've preordered at least 30 games from them over the last 5 years and every single one got to me before noon on the release date if I used overnight shipping.

Did they force a bundle on it? The last console launches were four years ago, so I can't remember if they did or not. I just know they did with the PSP, so I'm sure they will with the new consoles as well.Dr_Cogent said:The only item I ever pre-ordered from EBGames.com was my PS2, and that arrived the same day as launch day. So I was happy with their service.

Well, thanks for the info. I've pre-ordered past consoles at EB stores in my district without having to bundle, but I was talking about EB's website. I doubt there's a way of getting out of those bundles. :lolmeelk said:the secret of not getting a bundle is simply saying "I dont want the fucking bundle", or at least it was when I left EB. You just had to sit on the fact that you want to pre-order and do not want the bundle. If they argue ask them to call the district manager, and when you get him/her on the phone, explain how you are going to call the better business bureau and file a formal complaint, and how you are going to find out if forced bundling is legal in your state.
youll get your system with no bundle![]()

Yeah, it's looking like that's the way I'll have to go. My local EB doesn't have the bonus item in-store, so if I want it, online's my only option; And I do want it.NotMSRP said:If I want to be guaranteed a preorder bonus, I order online. It is a gamble instores.

Is that really how it works? I thought I remembered something 'bout not getting charged for WW 'til it shipped, but I forget.GitarooMan said:None of that surprises me based on my EB store experiences, but I think ebgames.com is run separately. Anyway, you don't have to put money down to pre-order online, and you can cancel at any time, so it's not too much of a risk

I think the problem comes when ordering online and picking up in-store. You almost never get the bonus item. If you order online and have it shipped, you should always get it.Mejilan said:I get most of my purchases from EBGames.com, and I have never failed to get the bonus items.
