EBgames WTF

Do they check the games they get from people and sell as preowned? I bought some psx games, and to tell you the truth I have no clue what they were covered in, some white gunky shit. Have to clean the discs a lot to kinda get it off. I also got goldeneye 64 and it came with what I am guessing to be mud stuck in some crevaces of the cartridge. Is this okay to them? WTF, I sent out an email complaining and will call them soon. What kind of fucking service is this? I am through with them. UGH.
:(

I use Wip3out as my HDL trigger disc. Just bought 4 copies used from EB for a total of 11 bucks. I just know they'll be in awful condition.

Thank goodness Einhander wasn't.

If you care about the condition of the used games you get you should buy them in-store and not online. Then you can at least give them an up-and-down before you walk out of the store with someone's jizzed-on cartridge.

Online is hit or miss.

I've never received a poorly treated game from EB Online, they've had some stickers, but nothing all gunky or dirty.

So its common? That sucks. Maybe I will start buying from estarland or something.

Dude, they don't have time to clean and test the games they buy. And they don't want to invest this time and money either. Having a better garanty is fucking easier.

Because someone used them. Not everyone takes great care of their games.

Especially if it was a rental game at one time. I've rented Xbox games less than a week old that looked as if whoever rented them before me used the disc to slide down a gravel road.

The sooner Gamestop/EBgames go out of business the better. These are the scuzziest stores you can find in the mall. I don't believe they have any long term future. I remember when the used game section at EB/Gamestop used to be this tiny little shelf. Now everytime I go into these game stores it feels more and more like a thrift store/pawn shop. Actually that's not fair, I've seen thrift stores with more class.

EB is a piece of shit for used games if my local EB is any indication. I got Ridge Racer and Virtua Tennis for PSP used from them and aside form the fact that they have horrible clear circle stickers holding it shut and when you take them off it leaves a gross residue, I opened up Ridge Racer, and as I pulled it out on the case, the UMD fell apart. As in the bottom part of the UMD stayed in the case, the top part came out and was in my hand, and the CD inside the UMD fell out onto my floor, with no way of putting it back together.

I returned it and got another copy, but shouldn't they like.. check the games they get back?

I took a whole roll of those clear stickers. I can buy shit used all day and return it, no questions asked. Not that I do.

EB is hit or miss.

Just recently I scored a mint copy of Thunderforce V for $2, just had some stickers on the CD case, which is easily swappable, but I decided to peel the stickers off and it went smoothly.
