Why would the TSA indication? Someone paid to look at a TV screen for 8 hours a day is quite different from international counterterrorism
It is TSA's job to stop individual people from committing terror attacks after they are already on-scene, fully prepared after their months or years of planning into the attack are complete and the attack is underway. And they do this by looking at a screen. They've got a window of about 5 minutes to complete their task from start to finish.
It is the job of counterterrorism officials to prevent the person from making it to the airport in the first place, and they have years to complete their task.
This is an apples and oranges comparison.
