LOL!
I think our junior has seen today's brillant press release from Future:

Matt Pierce is Publisher of Edge:

"Following the successful redesign of the magazine late last year it was time to turn our attention to getting Edge Online back onto the internet. Edge readers deserve a website that offers the same high standards as they find in the magazine.

The successful redesign that everyone hated?
The same high standards that Future recently cut back on?
God bless the publishing giant that is Future.

Yeah, everyone should really stop reading press releases and make posts based on that information. Let's make something up instead...

Funny, I've seen a lot of praise for it on these boards for starters. I also like the new Edge a lot more than the Edge of the past couple of years. They are creeping slowly back to their former glory.

I sense much Future Publishing hate in this Spong employee. Rather ironic. Do say hello to the dynamic Dyson duo for me please :D

Hewllo from? Hint? And no hate, just keeping a watchful eye...

I like Edge as a magazine and thought others on the forum might be interested too.

But in the future I should try to get more of my information from drunk guys in bars.

Or learn how to use the forum. Or find something original to say. Or establish your own user credibility without attacking that of others. Or...

Another JM for 'The List'

No chance in hell I'm scrolling through that official thread to find a post about it. Either link or summarize please, thanks, okbyebye.

With respect. If you didn't read it in the first place, and you can't be bothered to now, you shouldn't really be commenting on it. :)

If you're referring to the original comments about how the news was given to you guys by folks who might have been a bit inebriated, I read that... if you're talking about some type of update since that original, then I missed that.

Also, drunk guys at industry parties are not to be sneered at... :)

As info sources,

Drunk and well placed industry guys in bar >>> Press releases

who would have thought that Sony had a BIG argument on whether they can sell PSP in Europe for under 300e, for example?

Since I'm the one going on about "junior members" I think this is a great lesson. Thank you!

And of course drunk guy with connections could be a good source for information, better than the press release. But in this case it's not that important.

Is Future publishing responsible for the axing of NGO? Because that's honestly the last time I really cared about an online gaming site. IGN was good for news prior to the Insider bs. And Gamefan was great for vids thanks to Kev, but that went under. Otherwise, nothing's come even close to NGO for a great all-in-one news source. And the NGO Sony forums were the shit. PEACE.
