I just bought a Mazda 3 GS 2005 full equip
going from a toyota tercel 91, with chips of rust falling down the road as i go above 120km/h :lol I think its not a bad decision, i LOVED to drive it also, really surprising car for its price.
Anyway, now they've given me the option to shoot oil in it to prevent rust every year or install a little electronic box that supposedly do miracles, i have the PR papers in front of me and basicly what it does is send an electric shock in every metal parts of your car to get rid of electrons accumulated by the metal changing over time, gets rid of oxygen (oxydation) molecules which eventually turns to rust. So yea.. i dont know anything about that technology. Anti rust, wether its oil or some exotic method is pretty much REQUIRED in canada unless you dont mind seeing your brand new car go down the drain in the matter of 3 years.
Its 500$ cnd, guaranteed 15 years and covers reperation cost on the body if anything shows up. Does it every time you startup your engine so there's no yearly visit to the garage to shoot oil.
Anyone has this gadget installed? Thoughts?
CAT's electronic anti-corrosion system its called, CAT unit aswell, and CAT for Certified advanced technology.
